Gingerbread Men
I have never made gingerbread cookies and wanted to give it a shot, followed the recipe exactly. The first time I made this dough, it was very dry and cracked when trying to cut out shapes. So I just balled them up, pressed with a fork and baked. They still tasted great. On Christmas Eve, I really wanted to make gingerbread men, so this time I added a splash of milk. It was too soft and frustrated the kids but at least they were cutting out if we were VERY careful. They are very tasty, soft and chewy, but I am determined to get it right so that they cut out easier. Does it need more butter or what?
