Belle's Hamburger Buns

I used my bread machines dough cycle to make these. I think I'll try kneading them by hand next time because the dough was really sticky and I couldn't get it into a ball shape. They tasted great, but were oddly shaped.

Nitey Night Cookies

I didn't add the sugar gradually, I accidentally dumped it all in...so the texture was sort of weird and they actually didn't cook all the way through for some reason.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

By far, the best pancakes I have ever made! Thanks so much for this recipe! I make pancakes once a week for my kiddos and this will be the one I use for years and years to come! Edited: I wanted to add that now that I have made this recipe close to 100 times, the only changes I have made is to only add 1/4-1/2 tsp salt, because I used salted butter. Other than that, I don't change a thing! This truly is the perfect pancake recipe.

Mall Pretzels

These tasted awesome. I used the dough cycle on my bread machine and for some reason the dough came out a bit too sticky, sort of the opposite problem that quite a few reviewers have had...I'll knead it by hand next time and see if that changes anything. I ate them with butter and salt, and with butter and cinnamon sugar. So delicious!

Wow, that is sooooo good. I added almost 1/4 cup of butter and used 8 cups of cereal instead of 9 cups and it is perfect. Now someone needs to take it away from me before I eat it all in the next few hours!!!!

Best Bread Machine Bread

I've made this recipe a few times now. It's so easy and delicious. I love the bread just as is in the published recipe, with no changes at all. And I also love it when I use half white flour and half whole wheat flour and add and extra Tbsp of sugar! It's so delicious both ways!

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

I used fresh nectarines in this instead of blueberries, it was so good! I used 1 tbsp brown sugar instead of the sugar substitute, and a little bit more milk. It was really delicious.

Eggplant Parmesan II

So delicious!! I made it two times in one week. I followed others recommendations and sweat the eggplant for 30 mins first. I also cranked up the temp to 450 and cooked them for 5 minutes on each side. We all loved this recipe!

Strawberry and Feta Salad

I LOVE this recipe. I don't have any raspberry vinegar right now, so I used red wine vinegar instead and it was incredible. The last time I made it I ran out of strawberries and so instead I used dried cranberries and green apples....ummm, yummy!

Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Oh, yum!!!!! These were fabulous! My carnivore husband loved them as well. Even my two year old chowed it down. I thought it had the perfect combo of mushroom and balsamic vinegar flavor. I did add a splash of worchestershire sauce to it. I made some sauteed onions and a garlic mayo spread to go along with them and topped it with some organic greens and a slice of tomato. So yummy.

Portobello Mushroom Stroganoff

This was superb!!! I followed the advice of others and used only a 1/2 cup of sour cream, added some garlic to the onion and mushroom mixture, and threw in a few splashes of soy sauce and worschestershire sauce. Oh my, I almost felt guilty for eating something so meaty!! It really tasted exactly how I remember beef stroganoff tasting, I really loved it. So did my two year old daughter!

Cara's Creamy Stuffed Shells

These were delicious! A nice twist on my mom's recipe that I've loved since childhood. I made a few changes though...I used about 1 pound of meat, I used 1/2 the cream cheese and added some ricotta cheese, I used mozz cheese instead of romano. They were fantastic the next day, too!

Grandma's Slow Cooker Vegetarian Chili

Well, I was going to give it a three star rating. But gave it a four star since I didn't stick to the recipe. I used several different types of dried beans instead of all the canned types called for in this recipe. I found it to be extremely bland. I had to add so many spices and flavors to get my husband to eat a second bowl of it. I guess next time I'll stick to the recipe and see how that turns out.

Oaxacan Tacos

These were really simple and really good. I cut the recipe down significantly, though, since I was only cooking for two of us. My husband loved it, he was shocked to see me cutting up fresh jalepenos. He LOVES jalepenos, but I have never bought them fresh and used them in a dish before since I'm not a huge fan. But it was great, because I was able to just sprinkle a few on mine and a bunch on his!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

I'm editing my original review from 2004 when I rated this recipe 4 stars. I think with less sugar it is very deserving of stars. I only use 1 1/2 cups of sugar and it is still super sweet. This is honestly the best banana bread recipe out there!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Oh my goodness!!! Honestly, this is one of the best cinnamon rolls I have tasted in my entire life! My husband almost fell out of his chair when he took his first bite. This is definitely up there with my favorite recipes of all time and I look forward to making these again and again. I followed the recipe exactly and loved it. The frosting is sooooooo delicious!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

This quiche is delicious!! My husband and daughter love it when I make this one. I think the next time I make it, I'm going to use a little less cream and perhaps an extra egg. It seems like it's not quite eggy enough for me. Edited to add: I've now made this recipe close to ten times, we still love it just as much as we did the first time we tried it. I always add an extra egg and use only 1 cup of half and half. I use whatever cheese I have on hand, which usually is a colby or cheddar/jack blend. I load it up with lots of fresh spinach and mushrooms. It's a really great quiche, definitely my go to quiche recipe.
