Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2014
cheap, easy, fast and tastes like high quality pancake house fluffy pancakes..but better.. and none of the fake stuff and preservatives thats in mixes.. I was so impressed I make this recipe with just the dry ingredients on the night before and leave an egg and a cup of milk/with the vinegar in it in the frig.. so my guy can add the egg and milk mixture and make his own pancakes while I sleep in. I will never go back to store bought mixes again.

Light and Fluffy Coconut Macaroons

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
I rated this five stars as I don't like coconut macaroons but these tasted great. HOWEVER MINE BURNED ON THE BOTTOM AT 15 minutes SO WATCH THEM VERY CLOSELY.. you might have to reduce cooking time.

Sweet Potato Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
Turned out great. Much creamier and not so dry as the previous recipe I tried. I did bake my potatoes and then peeled... I did add a little cinnamon and I added a few more potatoes as the ones I used were not large enough to get the pie filled adequately. My only advice would be to use BIG potatoes or use 2 for 1 if you don't have any large ones.

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
Wonderful recipe. I do want to know if anyone has made it with the ground beef browned and drained first so you can cut out that fat.. If anyone did, how was the flavor?

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2009
LOVED IT with a little alteration. THIS IS THE RECIPE I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!! Easy, fast, healthy, economical, and Delicious. I read the other comments so I altered it slightly. I added a tablespoon Parmasan cheese and to the soup (Campbell's FAT FREE brocolli cheese that has nearly identical recipe on label)milk, and for the chicken I cooked two chicken breasts with 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper and some seasoning salt. I mixed half of the cheese in with the brocolli and chicken and mixed it all together. I also added one fourth cup Cooked instant Rice and ONE SLIGHTLY BEATEN EGG to milk/soup mixture because I was afraid I would end up with a runny soupy mess without these additions and my husband HATES sauces. It was a big hit. My husband who hates veggies and trying new things loved it. I had three helpings. I will definately use this again. I tried but couldn't find a chicken recipe I liked.

Broccoli Chicken Roli

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I gave this five stars because my boyfriend ate it and said it was pretty good and he won't try anything new or anything with brocolli. I used two cans of rolls because there was tons of exposed fillings with only one can, I also used the low fat cresents, and I put one down in the middle where the glass circle was as I did not understand how to leave it out as all of the filling would be baking on top of the foil and probably burning? I did not use the dijon mustard and I sprinkled just a tad of parmasan/garlic butter on outside of rolls. The only thing I did not like was the onion/green pepper. I microwaved mine for two minutes before adding as others said these were uncooked before rolls were done, but the onion and green pepper stood out too much for me, and this is weird cause I put them in everything.. But I think it might taste better without them.

Brigadeiro

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
I had a major chocolate craving and I was out of chocolate chips and sugar! I used an ancient can of sweetened condensed milk and this solved my chocolate craving! I burn everything or I get the sticky fudge problem, but I stirred constanstly on low heat for ten minutes, plus two minutes more as one reviewer suggested. Then I let the mixture cool in frig for ten minutes. Mixing into balls was easy. I rolled my in walnuts. I gave this 5 stars cause it is high in calcium, has a little protein, and is quick and Cheap to make. However, this tastes exactly like Chocolate carmel to me, but maybe that is what it is supposed to taste like?

Chewy Crispy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2014
OMG these are so good. I toasted my coconut and it started to burn at 5 minutes so I took it out.. and the cookies were done at 8 mins in my oven. We have ate them two nights in a row. Crunchy but not hard and great flavor.

JELL-O® Egg Jigglers

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
In the past I liked these, but I need more information on recipe. If I have 3 oz packages of Jello and/or the surgerfree Jello, how do I have to adjust water, etc. I am assuming a 3 oz package would equal half of a 8 ounce serving size, and that same for smaller sugar free jello?

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2014
The only change I made was to lower the oven temperature to 175 so the mixture did not burn. This way you don't have to watch it a lot either. Just scrape softened carmel like topping from the bottom of pan into the corn and return to the oven.

Crazy Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2014
I took them out at 13 minutes and the bottoms were burnt. There was not enough butter to make them taste like crazy bread. I did add a little olive oil to the tops. These were not as crunchy on top as I would like but with more oil/or butter on top and a lower baking temp these might turn out better

Kitty Litter Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
I made this before and it was very well received. However, I was very worried about the taste, so I baked a chocolate cake and put a few choc chips in the batter, and I used a marble cake. I crumbled up both cakes in pieces and I sprinkled most of the white cake mix on top. I also spread a layer of Cool whip over top of the first layer of cake, then I drizzeled a little chocolate syrup over the next layer. Some crushed generic white and black oreo type of cookies were sprinkled over the top with the toostie roll poos. I would suggest reading recipes for something like Better than sex cake or others like it and then follow the recipe to make sure the desert tastes good, then I would tend to the crumbled cookies and special effects on top as you could do this type of LOOK with any flavor of cake, even a pumpkin cake.

Peanut Butter Cornflake Crunch Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2014
I had to use a little less cornflakes that the recipe called for and I still had some flakes that were not sticking to the mass. These were just okay for me.. but they were super easy, quick, cheap and healthy so I am keeping the recipe and maybe adding a few mini choco chips or nuts next time.

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
There is a better recipe that I lost that am trying to find.. A recipe that makes a similar peanut butter fudge with marshmellow crème that is not so grainy and sugary.. This one is grainy and super sweet with sugar grains predominating making the texture not so great.

Baked Pineapple

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2014
I read the reviews and I usually like everything including plain canned pineapple but the consistency of this was too eggy and the taste was diminished by the egg/sugar/cornstarch.
