About this Cook
Stay-at-home mom and self-employed admin/secy support; love to cook (and eat!), but wish I had more time, so I like quick, easy & tasty recipes from
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, pasta dishes, beef, pork, fish, venison, crockpot meals -- does that just about cover it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a Croatian & Italian family and I enjoyed homemade pastas, sausages, sauces (gravy) and lamb done on a spit - yum! My grandparents & parents are wonderful cooks and they have exposed our family to many tastes.
My cooking triumphs
One killer of a three-pepper lasagna!
My cooking tragedies
Purple chicken (well, more like lavender) -- the look of disgust on my husband's face spoke volumes...hahaha

Pepperoni Casserole
This was delicious! Changes I made were simply to tailor the dish to my liking, such as using a 12 oz. box of rotini because we like our pasta casseroles to have a good meat/pasta balance. Also, I only had about a 3/4 c. of cottage cheese, added it nonetheless, and lastly scaled back the pepperoni to half. Can't wait to make this dish again! Would be great for a pot luck!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops
These were delicious!! Made exactly as is, didn't try the flour like some others, but I used cheap cut chops that contained enough fat to keep them moist. If you're using leaner cuts I would do the flour coating to seal in juices. Thanks for a great recipe -- my mom used to make this often when we were kids!'

Terri's Sloppy Joes
This is a keeper. The only thing I did diff. was use rice vinegar (didn't have plain), sub'd brown sugar for white & spicy brown for yellow mustard. Oh so good; served at a kids bday party -- big hit!
