About this Cook
Stay-at-home mom and self-employed admin/secy support; love to cook (and eat!), but wish I had more time, so I like quick, easy & tasty recipes from Allrecipes.com
My favorite things to cook
Chicken, pasta dishes, beef, pork, fish, venison, crockpot meals -- does that just about cover it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up in a Croatian & Italian family and I enjoyed homemade pastas, sausages, sauces (gravy) and lamb done on a spit - yum! My grandparents & parents are wonderful cooks and they have exposed our family to many tastes.
My cooking triumphs
One killer of a three-pepper lasagna!
My cooking tragedies
Purple chicken (well, more like lavender) -- the look of disgust on my husband's face spoke volumes...hahaha

Chicken, Artichoke Heart, and Parmesan Sandwiches
I tweeked alittle...used Panko crumbs instead of flour. These sandwiches turned out great! Served them to my folks who were visiting & they were a hit! Thank you!

Chicken Fried Venison Steaks
Good base recipe...helps me to have breakdown of ratios (breadcrumbs-to-flour, etc.)

Easy Chicken Alfredo II
This was a fantastic, virtually guilt-free, base sauce! I embellished with the spices as other reviewers did & added sauteed onions and bell peppers (omitted minced onion), and boy was it rich! I doubt anyone could tell it wasn't heavy cream! Tip: Remember to adjust your sauce accordingly when adding more pasta &/or vegetables to recipe -- I didn't and ended up short on sauce -- better to err on the side of too much in my book ; ) Bon Appetite friends!
