Just made this recipe this past weekend for company, and it went very, very well. My company said it was the best they ever had. I made a few minor substitutions/changes: shredded mozzerella & provolone blend instead of the slices, put the sour cream on top of the cheese - enough to coat it, used Cabernet Marinara sauce for that extra kick. Mine never really "bubbled" but it was done nonetheless - I checked for the parmesan to melt and I saw liquid at the bottom boiling. Also, I made up the casserole the night before and just baked it the next day, which went just fine. I would definitely recommend this recipe, and have already given it out to my company!
