Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

I didn't have almond extract, so I substituted vanilla. I also ran out of butter and used 1/2 vegetable oil. I also used homemade raspberry jam that wasn't seedless. Reading these other reviews prompted me to try letting them hang in the freezer for a few minutes before baking. They took twice as long to bake, but were perfectly delicious! I also tried adding some of my jam to the glaze so it came out bright pink. Cute and tasty, too!
