About this Cook
Im married, no kids 1 cat :)
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook foods from back home, like Portuguese Bean Soup, Meat Jun, Haupia, Chicken Long Rice, mmmmm I'm hungry now. I love trying out new recipies (fried ravioli!).
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a few. Cinnimon rolls fresh from the oven on christmas morning. Pancakes shaped in the letters of mine and my siblings for special breakfasts. Helping my grandmother make food for once a month church potlucks.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made spam musubi and meat jun on my own my husband wouldn't touch it. So I took them too work and now my co-workers are always wondering when I'm going to cook again!
My cooking tragedies
I married a southernor and can't make fried chicken........

Honey Lime Chicken Wings
I was kinda hoping these would be crispier. I baked them like a few people said to make them crispier but it didn't work. Maybe my wings were too big but in any case my husband and I were a little disappointed. Because the overall flavoring is good, I'll probably try again.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya
Very yummy. I added some instance rice about 30 minutes before I served it. But not because it was too soupy, but because I was too lazy to bust out the rice cooker. The only downside was out of the pot I couldn't get a cajun taste. Wasn't spicy at all to me. I kept adding flavor but I just couldn't get it right.
