Favorite Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2007
These taste EXCELLENT! I made them w/out nuts as a friend who would be eating them cannot have nuts. However, I believe the nuts would put these cookies over the edge and would make them the best I've ever had for a chocolate cookie with white chips! I baked for exactly 10 minutes - perfect timing.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
Awesome recipe. The pork chops are so tender. I didn't have white wine (but will use it next time!) so I subbed chicken broth. I also did not need to bake for the full hour, however, it would not have hurt it any. Served with mashed potatoes and butternut squash.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2007
Halved the recipe as the whole recipe is too much for just two of us in the home. This is a really good recipe and I will make this one often. I love the dough is made in the bread machine!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2007
Turned out wonderfully. I don't see where people thought the directions were confusing - unless your a beginning cook - they are quite understandable to me. I use cheesecloth sprinkled with confectioner's sugar always when rolling, it works perfectly.

Amazing Muffin Cups

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2014
If the hash browns have not started to crisp at the bottom before putting the egg mixture in, I suggest letting it have a longer baking time. I altered the recipe to fit ingredients I had here, made my own hashbrowns by parboiling the potatoes then shredding them. I added some chili powder and cumin the mixture since I didn't have Mexican flavored cheese. No peppers except jalapeno so I used about 1 tablespoon of that and chopped tomato and tomatillo to stir in. I also reduced the sausage to about half. This is a great base recipe. You can do so many different flavors. It gets 5 stars for that purpose alone! 4/13/14 - I made these again today and left the Mexican flavors out. Sharp Cheddar, sauteed mushrooms and red peppers and chives for flavor. AMAZING is the word. :)

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2007
This is the only recipe I make for stuffing. My mother made this when I was little (she got the recipe from a crockpot cookbook that came with her crockpot). Using fresh mushrooms is key in yumminess! Everyone always raves about the stuffing when done this way.

Brownie Biscotti

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
My first time ever making biscotti. They turned out wonderfully - even though I was in so much of a hurry I totally forgot the egg wash. I dont believe it made much of a difference and I'm not sure of the reason for the egg wash? Anyway, will be dipping these in white chocolate and putting in our cookie jar to have with our tea/coffee!

Absolutely yummy. I will make these often! I too used orange juice as I did not have the orange liquor.

Pecan Tassies

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2007
Only thing I do different is I use real butter. I never use margarine. This is a real crowd pleaser. I have subbed walnuts in the past and have made mini pumpkin pies out of these also.

Double Chocolate Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
These are sweeter than the Brownie Biscotti, however, they are yummy! I've eaten 3 already and need to stop! I used mini semi sweet chips as that is what I had and I chopped my baker's white chocolate bars as the recipe stated. I'm becoming the biscotti queen, I want to keep on making them and not stop! lol

Awesome cookie recipe. I didn't have plain chocolate kisses, just the hugs (grumpy likes hugs best). This is a keeper.

Spinach Dip I

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2007
This is delish! I am a "fresh" over "frozen" veggie person - so I steamed a bag of fresh spinach instead to mix in. Served in a rye bread boat with fresh cut carrots, califlower, broccoli & celery sticks. Also put the bread that was cut out of the bowl on the side for people to dip. Went over very well!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
I'm giving this 5 stars because I believe if I had enough oatmeal, these would have been perfect. I didn't have quite enough oatmeal so they were thin. I also subbed raisins for the chocolate chips as hubby doesn't care for the chocolate in oatmeal cookies.

Belgian Molasses Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
This is the softest, sweetest smelling bread! I only did the dough cycle on my bread machine, then shaped the loaf and let it rise in a loaf pan. I will make this one again!
