to blueberries.  I can't leave them alone.  The weekend I made blueberry pancakes I had two pints in the house.  I one pint for the pancakes and finished of the pint throughout the morning.  Then, the next morning I didn't bother to use them in anything.  I washed them and ate the whole pint.  I guess that's better than eating a whole pint of ice cream eh?  ;o)

I found the To Die for Blueberry Muffin recipe by looking at the photo votes.  I have been clicking each photo to see the picture better and then, if it looks and sounds good I go to the recipe.  I have accumulated a few new recipes in my box that way!  I made a few changes to the recipe but to begin with I believe it is probably an awesome recipe as is.  Since I am such a muffin fiend also I am always on the look out for new and exciting recipes for them.  Do any of you have recipes to suggest for me to try?  Let me know!

We've been through 3 pints this week :) And that's just between me and my 2 year old! My dad grows tons on his Christmas tree farm, which should be ready in a few weeks...then we really eat a lot of them! http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Oatmeal-and-Wheat-Flour-Blueberry-Pancakes/Detail.aspx These are super good if you haven't already tried them. The lemon juice really makes the flavor pop. I also love blueberries with lemon curd- YUM!

IDK Bella but I don't mind eating them! I don't crave them when they aren't around. ;) Kathleen I haven't made that recipe and I will! I love lemon curd also but make it only about once or twice a year. Haven't made it yet this year - would be a good occasion to try!

About Me
I am a home cook who works full time and have been a blogger on my own site, Grumpy's Honeybunch, since 2007. I love to experiment and create in the kitchen. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but always fun! My one place I am not the best at is the grill - and I leave that to Grumpy! Since I started using AR several years ago, my home life has changed a lot. We had to relocate for work purposes, My sons no longer live at home and its just Grumpy, me, and our 3 cats. I am a participant in the Allrecipes Allstar program and have had a great time with the challenges as well as the great people I have met through the Allstar program!
My favorite things to cook
I always was a baker but since I started blogging almost 5 years ago, I have also become a more experienced cook. We love pasta meals and especially Asian inspired meals. I love homemade candy although I'm not the best candy maker, I will still attempt it every so often. My very favorite sweet treat from this site is Brooke's Bombshell Brownies. I've taken the recipe and used it as a base to create several different brownie recipes, my favorite being "when life gets you down" brownie (chock full of Peanut Butter flavor) and a peanut butter caramel swirled brownie. Both recipes are on my blog grumpyshoneybunch.com.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Summer fish frys at my aunt and uncles home. Homemade fudge and popcorn on Saturday nights while a child! When my boys were younger Friday night was homemade pizza and movie night and some of my most special memories are baking cookies with Nanny. I have every one of her "special" cookie recipes on file and when feeling nostalgia hit I will bake one of her recipes.
My cooking triumphs
My best compliment ever - a cheesecake I made was described to be "better than Juniors!" The pumpkin fudge recipe on this site that I reviewed at 5 stars....this is an awesome cooked fudge recipe. My son totally loves the fudge and so do I!
My cooking tragedies
Once when I was first married, I made fudge. It didn't set up and I was too embarrassed to tell my hubby, so I hid it in the closet (no idea WHY I did such a thing!) and ended up forgetting about it. We came across it one day cleaning and I had to fess up, he had more of a laugh because I tried to hide it!
