Grumpy and I don't always agree

I'm sure that doesn't surprise many though!  What couple ever totally agrees on everything?  lol.  Well, when it comes to food I am much more adventurous than Mr. Grumpy.

One thing you can count on is we both enjoy eating pancakes on weekend mornings.  For the most part we have them only one weekend day - usually Sunday - but since my schedule has been all messed up this week today felt like Sunday to I made pancakes!

The recipe I use is the basic fluffy pancake recipe found here on AR.  I adapted this recipe to suit my own tastes and you can find my adaptation and more photos for Fluffy Pancakes with Blueberries over on my blog.

I was so picky when I was little that pancakes were about the only thing I would eat willingly so my grandmother use to tell me she was going to bake me in a pancake and let me eat my way out. I was so excited!

LOL! I always liked french toast best growing up - but since being married to Grumpy it has been pancakes because that is what HE likes best. ;o)

Are you sure we're not married to brothers?? LOL! Great blog, and you're right...I'm more of a French Toast type of gal while my husband it utterly and completely pancakes!

WW, we could be! LOL. I think a lot of husbands are "grumpy". ;)

About Me
I am a home cook who works full time and have been a blogger on my own site, Grumpy's Honeybunch, since 2007. I love to experiment and create in the kitchen. Sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but always fun! My one place I am not the best at is the grill - and I leave that to Grumpy! Since I started using AR several years ago, my home life has changed a lot. We had to relocate for work purposes, My sons no longer live at home and its just Grumpy, me, and our 3 cats. I am a participant in the Allrecipes Allstar program and have had a great time with the challenges as well as the great people I have met through the Allstar program!
My favorite things to cook
I always was a baker but since I started blogging almost 5 years ago, I have also become a more experienced cook. We love pasta meals and especially Asian inspired meals. I love homemade candy although I'm not the best candy maker, I will still attempt it every so often. My very favorite sweet treat from this site is Brooke's Bombshell Brownies. I've taken the recipe and used it as a base to create several different brownie recipes, my favorite being "when life gets you down" brownie (chock full of Peanut Butter flavor) and a peanut butter caramel swirled brownie. Both recipes are on my blog
My favorite family cooking traditions
Summer fish frys at my aunt and uncles home. Homemade fudge and popcorn on Saturday nights while a child! When my boys were younger Friday night was homemade pizza and movie night and some of my most special memories are baking cookies with Nanny. I have every one of her "special" cookie recipes on file and when feeling nostalgia hit I will bake one of her recipes.
My cooking triumphs
My best compliment ever - a cheesecake I made was described to be "better than Juniors!" The pumpkin fudge recipe on this site that I reviewed at 5 stars....this is an awesome cooked fudge recipe. My son totally loves the fudge and so do I!
My cooking tragedies
Once when I was first married, I made fudge. It didn't set up and I was too embarrassed to tell my hubby, so I hid it in the closet (no idea WHY I did such a thing!) and ended up forgetting about it. We came across it one day cleaning and I had to fess up, he had more of a laugh because I tried to hide it!
