Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2014
This was delicious. I used red apples instead of Granny Smith because I prefer sweet over tart flavors. I also added cinnamon, but I only added the cinnamon to the top of the pie after it had already been baking for about 15 minutes. I did not do the layered pie top because this was my first attempt at making homemade apple pie so I put the dough on top and made a couple slits in it. The filling came out a little soupy, but the taste is still out of this world. I will definitely be making this again.

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2014
This was a disaster. It was wayy too heavy. The cake actually sunk on top of itself. It was too sweet. It fell to pieces after sitting and cooling in the fridge for 2 hours. I will never make this again and I don't recommend anyone else to make it either.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: May 31, 2014
This recipe wasn't really for me. I think the lemon taste was a little over powering. My fiance enjoyed it. I think I would rather just stick to the A1 sauce hahahah

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2014
This recipe is delicious. I made some adjustments to the sauce. I took out the chili powder and cayenne pepper because I prefer sweet bbq sauce over spicy. In order to give the sauce a sweet taste, I added about 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I also added a dash of salt and pepper. After 6 hours on low in the slow cooker, the chicken fell apart so easily and it was perfect on a fresh sandwich roll. I will definitely be making this recipe again.

Graham Crusted Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2014
This is a good recipe. I left out the rosemary and curry. I used graham crackers, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and egg. I think next time I will leave out the pepper. The graham cracker crumbs and cinnamon give it a sweet taste that is just perfect.

Chocolate Chip Pie IV

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2014
I didn't like this. I made it almost the same as the recipe, but without the nuts and with graham cracker crust. I baked it for the full 60 minutes and the crust was burnt to a crisp. The chocolate chips went to the bottom and there was a little bit of dough on the top. I will not be making this again. Maybe it would have tasted different with the different crust.

Italian BBQ Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2014
I am not a big fan of pork chops, but this was AMAZING. The sauce is perfect! It is cold and snowing outside so I made the sauce, poured 1/2 of it over the boneless pork chops in a baking pan and baked it at 350 for 30 minutes. Then used the extra sauce for dipping. I also added a touch of honey into the sauce to give it a little extra sweetness. The pork chops melted in my mouth. I will definitely be making this recipe again!

These are delicious. Crispy on the outside. Soft in the center. I wouldn't change anything about this recipe.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
This was my first time making homemade frosting so I kinda messed up a little bit and didn't follow the instructions. I found my frosting was a little difficult to spread on cupcakes, but it still tasted very good!

Creamy Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
These cupcakes are delicious. They are good without frosting, but I made some with the "Fluffy peanut butter frosting" recipe and my fiance liked them with that too. I did not use walnuts because I'm not a big fan. Depending on your oven you may not need to bake them for the full 25-30 minute time period. Mine took about 16-17 and this gave them a crispy top, soft bottom, and moist in the center. Perfect combination. They are VERY filling and very delicious. One other thing, don't put the toothpick in the center. Put it more towards the side because the center will not come out clean due to the filling. If you stick the toothpick in the side and it comes out clean....they are done baking =)

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
These potatoes were good, but only if you read the reviews first and make edits. First of all, 45 minutes was way too long to roast the garlic. My garlic burned and I had to do that part over. I cut that time in half and roasted it for about 15 minutes. Second, add more milk! The potatoes are otherwise very dry. I suppose cream cheese or sour cream would work too. Add more garlic. Do those things and the potatoes came out pretty good.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2014
This was my first time making (or eating) flourless cookies. This recipe makes approximately 1 dozen medium sized cookies. They came out pretty good, but I wouldn't say they were the "best" cookies I have ever had. They were very quick and easy to make. However, it did take longer than the 8 minutes the recipes states. I too added a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Mom's Irish Soda Bread

This is delicious! At first I thought I did something wrong because it was my first time making it and the dough was a little crumbly. It tastes so sweet and perfect. I will definitely be using this recipe again.

OREO Cookie Balls

These taste good, but they are a lot harder to make than they look. You need a food processor to get them fine enough to be perfectly round. Mine look awful, but taste yummy.

Roasted New Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
These are delicious. I also added a pinch of garlic salt to them. While they were cooking I was concerned the potatoes were going to be dry, but they turned out perfect. Overall, very good recipe. I will definitely be making these again.

Autumn Spice Ham Steak

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
This was a good recipe. I used apple fruit/cinnamon fruit cups instead of whole apples. It still tasted good and took less time since the apples were already diced and cooked. Overall, very good. I would make it again.

Best Ever Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2013
I think this could have been better. I don't like dill so I left that out, and I cut down the mayo. I think I would have liked it better if I cut down the lemon pepper. The taste was almost overwhelming.
