Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
I thought this was really good. I did add extra garlic powder and added minced garlic since I love the flavor of garlic. It was not overpowering. I also didn't put it in the crockpot but put it in the oven. I took the juice that was in the pan and made an au jus with it to put over the pork when we ate it. I would definitely make again.

Homemade Flour Tortillas

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Very good We just got finished making them. Next time we would use a little more salt as they didn't have as much as we usually use (I know not good for our diet but we use it sparingly anyway). And we got 23 tortillas. They make about a small taco size. Great as we have a small child so it would be perfect for him for PB&J roll ups too.

Crispy Chicken Strips

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
I loved this combination because I had the potato flakes and bread crumbs on hand. I did substitute the egg for fresh squeezed lemon just to add a different dimension of flavor. But as others said, I did add more oil. I used peanut oil as that is what I usually fry in. Very good and will keep this recipe.

Pirates' Pork Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
I thought this was just okay. It was a nice change of pace from other pork chop recipes that I have but I didn't feel like it had as much flavor as I was hoping for. Maybe letting it sit like one reader had done, will help the flavors melt together.

Italian Veggie Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2007
My family just loved this, I will make again very soon. I made a few small changes to it. instead of chopped mushrooms I used crutons and omitted the onion in favor of green pepper. I added potato chunks instead of Broccoli and subsituted tomatoes and red peppers instead of peas and carrots. I also added 2 Lbs of ground beef and 1 Lb of ground pork. I baked at 425 for 40 minutes and then added 1 cup of cottage cheese and let bake for another 10 minutes. we loved it!

Mashed Potatoes with Fried Mushroom, Bacon, and Onion

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
This was very good but I doctored it up. I cooked the bacon, onions and mushrooms together. Then I mashed the potatoes up a bit with the ranch - just so they weren't big pcs. Then I added the potatoes to the bacon mixture in the pan and cooked them for a bit trying to get all of the flavors incorporated into the potatoes. They were good this way but I wish I would have fried them a little more to get the potatoes a little crispy. I would use the ingredients again but change how I cook it.

Italian-Style Round Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
My family really liked this but instead of the pasta I served it with potatoes - another recipe from AllRecipes. I cut the meat into 1/2 inch thick strips instead and only had to cook it for 45 minutes. It was a very good Sunday meal.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2006
I liked this recipe because it gave me time to prepare the rest of the toppings while I let this dough set. But I did add a tsp each of Italian Seasoning and Garlic Powder. It was very tasty. Since I let it sit for 1/2 hour I also got 2 thin crust pizza's out of the one dough. My husband said that it was one of the best that he had.

Chicken Something

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2006
Our family loves this recipe and it has become a staple for us at least twice a month now. The best thing is that we put in frozen chicken breasts and just add about 10 more minutes to the time. It saves a lot of time and we can throw it together at the end of a busy day.
