Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2005
I've always made my grilled cheese this way and I will continue to do so. I personally think it's the best way to have it. The ony difference is I like mustard on mine. I sometimes like to add ham, and tomato for something different. Yummy.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2005
Yumm. It was very good. I added Worcestershire sauce to my meat while it was cooking because I like the taste of it. I used a clove of garlic, because all I had was garlic salt and I didn't want to make it too salty. At the end, I decided to add a few dollops of bbq sauce to add a smoked taste. Over all really good. I thought it was a tiny bit sweet. But that would be my fault. I had 1 1/2 lbs. of meat so I increased my ingredients. Next time I'll leave the sugar alone. Either way it was yummy and I'll use this recipe every time I make sloppy joes.

Cornell Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2005
I was looking for something different for my chicken, and this was it. What drew me to this one was when a reviewer said it tasted like salt and vinegar chips. This is my husband's and my favorite kind of chips. It was really salty, I only did 5 chicken breasts with this, and it said serving size was 24. So that may have been it. Anyway it was yummy will make again with less salt. Husband loved it as is.

Chewy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2005
Ughh. I just made these and they didn't come out well for me. I used that new spreadable butter because that was all I had. Which made them taste slightly greasy. Granted they were crispy and chewy in the middle. I made 2 dozen with half of the dough. They were done in 5 mins. More done than I'd like even. I let them cool for 5 mins. Which was a huge mistake. They stuck to the pan and it took forever to get them off. I'm newly pregnant and I got too tired trying to get the first batch of cookies off the pan to make the second batch. So the rest of the dough is sitting the fridge. For the effort I made to get them off the cookie sheet it wasn't worth it. Maybe I'll get brand new non-stick cookie sheets, margarine and try this recipe again.

Peanut Butter and Banana French Toast

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2005
I made this because I was out of milk and craving FT. It wasn't as good as I hoped. I love PB on my FT, but the best part of that is when the PB mixes with the maple syrup. So it wasn't quite the same. 3 stars for simplicity and a good idea.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2005
Can't believe I am saying this, I have made this twice and I realized what they are missing; salt. They taste slightly bland without it. I would either add salt or use salted butter. It adds a deeper flavor.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2006
These are the best cookies I have ever made or tasted! They are so delicious and perfectly chewy and dense. I followed the instructions to a T, other than I made the size of them smaller, just enough to get 2 dozen and they were still a good size oh and I also refrigerated the dough while the cookies were baking. I'm stuck with an old electric stove and had to mess around with the positioning and time to get them evenly done, but these came out so well. I personally felt they were even better the second day. Hubby said they were the best batch yet and I've made dozens of recipes. This one is a definite keeper! Thanks for the recipe!!

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2006
These were really good. I omitted the walnuts. I also subsituted the chocolate chips for M&M's. I stirred them into the batter which made a neat chocolate-y center, and a two tone contrast wich was pretty. I submited a photo. I baked it on 325 for 25 minutes. The texture was exactly as it should be, just like a fugdy brownie without being underdone. Yummy. Next time I might try the swirled white and chocolate chips, because the M&M's weren't sweet enough for my taste.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
I didn't like this very much. Apparently I like the dry stuff, who knew? I thought it was too moist, almost made me sick to my tummy like it wasn't done enough. I thought it had a nice flavor though.

Antipasto Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2006
Not bad. I didn't use olives, had to use sliced pepperoni and shredded cheese and ommit the salami because of the stock at my store. Next time I'll use rotini pasta, two packets of the italian mix, 1/2 the balsamic dressing mix while keeping the same amount of oil(it was a bit on the bitter side for me), and add diced yellow bell pepper. Sliced pepperoni kind of ruined the look of the dish so I'll be sure to get the logs next time. The seashells were a little too small and looked lost amoungst the other ingredients.

Microwave Macaroni and Cheese

This was really good. I liked how it was simple and quick. I added cooked chopped broccoli to mine and a little garlic salt. I'll be making this again with chicken.

Honey Mustard Dressing II

This was great. DH loved it, and was skepical at first when I told him I was going to make it homemade. He said he expected it to just taste ok, but it ended up being his favorite. Thanks for submitting.

American Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2006
This was okay. I added a little bit vinegar and mustard. I think I probably needed more mustard at the end, and next time I won't use the pepper.

Easy Slow Cooker Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2006
This was pretty bland. The meatballs were good themselves, but the sauce was lacking something. I added brown sugar and worcestershire sauce which helped, but it was still missing something.

Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2006
I really liked this after a few minor changes. I added some garlic salt along with salt and pepper. I have a three cheese blend of parmesan, asiago and romano cheeses, I used that. It definitely needs some color, so I'll probably add diced tomatoes next time. Oh, does anyone know what is the purpose of putting the shrimp in warm water? Mine was only in water for about 2 mins or so.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
I don't like peanut butter cookies. My husband loves them though so I made this recipe for him. Figured it was a good yield size for one person over a few days. However, I thought they tasted so good I'm planning on making more. Now I know the reason I never liked pb cookies, they were always too crumbly for me, these were perfect. Not too mention very easy! My husband hasn't had a chance to try them yet but I know he will love them.

Restaurant-Style Taco Meat Seasoning

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
This was pretty good. Not as good as a taco seasoning packet, I felt it wasn't spicy enough. Good to have this recipe on hand when I don't have the packet like last night.

Pleasant Pork Chops

This was okay, I felt like it was missing something I'm not sure what though. It wasn't very appetizing looking. Probably won't make again.
