Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
Very good. I could taste the root beer but it wasn't overpowering. I used a homemade sauce then left it in the crockpot another hour. I didn't see much of a difference from using beef broth which I normally use. Both are very tender and I think I prefer the taste with the broth even. But it was good still.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
The meatballs came out well, perfectly moist I added salt and pepper to the meat and I felt it could have even used a bit more salt. The italian seasoning is prominent but not overpowering. I added worcestershire sauce and dried onion. We (my 6, 4yo, husband and myself) liked this. I used american cheese because I was out of provolone which I have used for other subs on the past, and I think it tasted better that way even :)

Alfredo Mostaccioli

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2012
Yum very good. I added spinach and chopped tomatoes, used a crushed clove of garlic as well as some garlic salt. Mine was slightly grainy. I think due to the cheese being almost 2 weeks old, I wanted to use it up and it didn't melt well. It was still good. Though next time I make this I will use half the box of pasta, there wasn't quite enough sauce for the whole box.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Pretty good flavor. Though I will say that the sauce looks nothing like what is pictured. It's more of a thicker sauce but yet not really creamy. Also there's alot of it. Could have easily halved the sauce and had plenty for the pasta. As another reviewer stated, it does have an odd appearance; though I wouldn't call it "slop." The chicken and tomatoes sort of swim in it so it's slightly unappetizing visually. But it gets 3 stars for taste.

Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2012
I was pleasantly surprised at how good this is. It's almost my usual recipe with the exception of lemon juice. I wanted to try something different without being too drastic. I was very surprised at how much of a difference the lemon juice makes. We all enjoyed it and it made 4 sandwiches. It was a bit soupy but I think that the brand of tuna I used was more wet compared to my usual brand. Should be perfect with that next time. thanks!

Cracked Sugar Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
Excellent recipe. Followed it exactly. For me it made 36 perfectly sized cookies. There was a slight bitter aftertaste from the cream of tartar but not enough to take away from the yumminess.

Hazel's Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
I am reviewing the sauce as I used a different meatball recipe. It was very vinegar-y tasting. I double checked the measurement even before using as 1/2 cup seemed quite alot. I wish I cut it to 1/4 cup instead.

Marinade for Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
Just made this chicken for grilled chicken paninis. It is excellent my 6 yo daughter took apart the sandwich after one bite and ate the chicken before the rest of her meal since she enjoyed it so much. I marinated it for a hr and broiled it. Very tender and flavorful chicken!

Mom's Applesauce Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2011
I used the just water mix. So I omitted eggs as well milk and lemon juice (it was a buttermilk mix so I figured it didn't need more buttermilk) I used water until it was a good consistency. I used cinnamon applesauce and cut down on the cinnamon. It was good. It does get dark quickly so watch carefully to not burn.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
good, easy the kids love it what more could you ask for?? I may shred some carrots and add them into the meat mixture next time, for a veggie without the kids knowing they are eating it. I doubt it will affect the taste at all.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
Yum, yum. I made this exactly as indicated, but added a can of stewed tomatoes, and in place of using the wine, I used the liquid from the tomatoes to deglaze the pan. Delicious.

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
Very good. I used pace picante sauce which is a thinner than salsa so I decided to add a can of tomatoes with chilis. It was good and flavorful. Instead of using the chili powder I just used part of a chili seasoning packet I had. It's very meaty, I used three good sized chicken breasts and it was very meaty with little broth. Still delicious though.

Campbell's Kitchen Tuna Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
My mom has been making this for years, she uses potato chips for the topping instead of bread crumbs and celery soup instead of mushroom. I feel the pimentos really add to the dish, wouldn't consider making it without.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
This is almost exactly my mom's recipe! Her's is awesome. The only difference is doesn't use onions and she uses cream of celery which I also prefer (I love mushrooms but don't care for mushroom soup), and adds a couple tablespoons of jarred pimentos. It's a good one!

Cold Tuna Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
It was good, I suppose I made too many changes to rate it. I didn't have tomatoes, used hard boiled egg and added sweet relish while omitting the sugar. I also used celery salt in place of fresh. I mainly wanted to try it for the italian dressing. It needed salt in the end.
