Thai Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2005
My husband and I really loved this recipe. I did triple the sauce, and I added a head of chinese napa cabbage. It had a very good flavor. I will definitely be making this one again!!! It was just spicy enough!

Ranch Style Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2005
Everybody seems to like these little oyster crackers. I like to make them a little more exciting, by adding 1/2 gold fish pretzels.

Carne Guisada I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2005
I made this recipe last night with some changes that were suggested. I will make this again. I didn't add any water, and I used two cans of tomatoes (one cilantro, and lime seasoned). I didn't use any fresh tomatoes. I did add 1/2 pkg. of taco seasoning, which I might add the whole thing next time. I also used olive oil instead of shortening. We served them with shredded cheese, and flour tortillas, which was very good. I forgot to buy lettuce, which I would do next time, along with black olives and maybe some fresh tomatoes. This would be very good with pork!

American Chop Suey II

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2005
My husband and I really liked this recipe with a few additions to it, as some others had suggested. First of all I didn't use the whole 16 oz. box of elbow noodles. It would have been way too many, and soaked up all of the liquid. I did add a chopped green pepper, 2 beef bouillon cubes, 1 can of tomatoes, and 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Next time I will add some celery. I will be making this one again, with all of the new additions!!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2004
I loved this soup! I made it last night for dinner, and both my husband and I really liked. It was very easy, and tasty. I will definitely be making it again, and again. It's a perfect winter soup. I made a wheat beer bread to go with it, which I got from this site also!!

Baked Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2004
I loved this recipe. Very light and moist!! I have made it several times, and will continue to make it. It was very easy. I did add some vanilla, and other spices, like ginger, as recommended. I also add chocolate chips in my pumpkin bread.

Excessively Good Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2004
Sorry, I did not care for these cookies. They turned out way too soft. They were hard to get off the pan. Maybe I ground the oatmeal too much?! My daughter didn't like them either. I won't be making these again.

Kay's Shortbread

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
This recipe was very easy, and very good! My 14 year old daughter and I really love shortbread cookies. I didn't have a 9" cake pan, so I just used a 9" springfor pan. It turned out just fine. I will definitely be making it again.

My husband and I really loved this Beef Stew. It had really good flavor. The only thing I would do, is add more carrots, and celery. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing!!

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2004
My husband and I loved this bread!! I did put melted butter on top before baking as suggested by some other bakers. I used Leinies Honey Weiss!! We had some while it was still warm. It had a sweet flavor. Very good!! I don't think I would change a thing, other than the melted butter.

Easier Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2004
My husband, and 14 year old daughter and I really love this recipe. I have made it several times. It has great flavor. I think I would add more of the cooking wine, for more liquid. I also did use 2 lg. pkgs. of slices mushrooms. We love mushrooms. Served it with parsley and buttered fettuccini noodles.
