Very light and moist. I used coconut oil in place of butter in the batter. The topping I added some pecans and a little oatmeal. Yum, Yum, Yum!!!

Cheesy Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
No one in my family cares for ham except myself, but I had some and needed to find something they would like. I followed recipe except adding sharp chedder in place of process cheese. Everyone liked it and my daughter even had seconds, no leftovers!!! Easy to fix and I will make it again.

Pork Chop Suey

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2009
My family loved this. I didn't have any bok choy so I added sliced bamboo shoots in place of it (what I had on hand). Also had no sherry, so just omitted it. This still turned out great! Will make again and again.

This was very good. The only change I made was using crushed potato chips instead of bread crumbs.

I liked this, very easy and quick to make. I used chedder cheese and green onions as thats what I had on hand. Looked great when done, nicely browned and puffy. I would make again. 4 stars because I really liked it, I was just not wowed by it.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
A perfect recipe! Choping the fruit was a little work but well worth it. Used orange marmalade for the fruit perserves. Used the suggestion from another reviewer and sprayed both side of the tortillas, then sliced into wedges and placed in a large plastic bag containing the cinnamon sugar and shook up. Then I placed them on a pan to bake. Quick and easy. This is sooo good!

Applesauce Pork Loin

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
This recipe was simple yet delicous. I didn't have applesauce so I substituted applebutter omitting the honey from the recipe. The fresh rosemary smelled devine as it was cooking. Once the roast was done, I threw away the sprigs of rosemary and thinly sliced the roast. My whole family (who really aren't big pork fans) gave it the thumbs up. I would't hesistate to go with the applebutter in the future, in fact since it did turn out so well, I will skip the applesauce and honey and stick with that.

Frogmore Stew

This is a simple to make and totally fun to eat dish. I made it for our family reunion at the cabins and it is soooo good! All my relatives wanted the recipe and it is now a traditional dish I serve there. I followed the recipe as written, darn good food!

Japanese-Style Sesame Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
I drained what oil was left in the pan before adding soy sauce. My family liked it,(were'nt overly excited) the only comment was they wished the seseame seeds would stick to the beans, they just fell off.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2005
This is one of my favorite recipies I have found. I have made this twice so far, used it for tacos and enchiladas. The first time I made it, my husband hid the leftovers in the fridge so no one else would eat it on him. I found it before he got home from work, so sad for him! Promised to make it again today and I did, he'll be so happy. Thanks for the great recipe!
