It was my first try with granola and I will use it as a base recipe. I changed quite a bit because I didn't have all of the ingredients but I wanted to try it. I made a half batch with the oats, 1/2C flax seed, 1/2C flax meal & 1/2 C wheat bran because that is what I had on hand. I also subbed pumpkin seeds, cashews and almonds for the nuts. I used cranberries, raisins and some chocolate chips after it cooled. I thought it was as good as any granola that I have bought. I baked @ 325 for 30 min and stirred every 10 min. It does not get crunchy until it cools. I think I would sub coconut oil for veg oil and add coconut next time.
