Brown Rice Frittata with Bacon and Edamame

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2015
I made this for Saturday morning breakfast because it called for everything I had. I used leftover brown rice/quinoa and only 5 eggs, and half the sour cream. Split this into three very good sized ramekins and it made for a satisfying breakfast. Will make this again and again.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2014
Made this last night with a 3 lb Pork Tenderloin and a very large iron skillet. Used dried herbs because that's what I had. I brined the pork loin for about 4 hours ahead. Used a meat thermometer and took it to 144. Perfect. Highly recommend this recipe. Will make this again. Once I had it in the oven that was it. I made 7-up biscuits from scratch and called it a meal. Husband loved it.

Evin's Indian Apricot Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2014
This is super tasty. I have been wanting to get Garam Marsala for a while, so I made a special trip to the Indian market to get it. Super easy and super good. My husband said I could double the recipe next time. One pound was not enough for the 3 of us. Used 3/4 cup of the apricot preserves and 1 cup of chicken broth for one pound and it was sweet enough for us. Will make over and over again! Thanks!

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2014
This will do the trick...I used only half of the sausage and also kale instead of spinach. As well, only about 1t of red pepper flakes...just my preference...This was a keeper. I will definitely make this for company next time.

Spaghetti Pie II

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
Stuck to the recipe, although I think I used too much spaghetti...hubby really liked it, but we did add salt and pepper. I think next time I will add a lot of pepper to the spaghetti and 1/2 t salt to the over all sauce...and use cream cheese instead of the ricotta...but a good base recipe to start with...

Sausage and Peppers Lasagna

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2011
My son's favorite meal is Sausage Onions and Peppers, so I had to try this recipe. I served it after church to my family and a few friends. They raved about it and ended up taking some of it home with them. I didn't use a jarred sauce but made a sauce with 1 can tomotoes, 1 can of t. sauce and 1 c. tomatoe paste to the sausage, onion and peppers...will definately make again

Cream Cheese Tart Shells

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I made these for a xmas party yesterday. Absolutely nothing special about these. I also put some pretty good chicken salad in these. Flavorless and too much like a bunch of pie crust...won't make again

Easy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
I can't say I will make them again...or I will be able to use my pan again. The oven I used was not my own, so maybe it ran a little hot.....It took me forever to get this out of the pan to throw it away. Looking forward to this recipe. I suggest you start checking this at about 15 minutes or you will have a rock to contend with

Cold Oven Pound Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
This was too simple to pass up. ...Here's what I did. Put 1 T of vinegar in the cup of milk and let it sit for a buttermilk effect. Then scanted the sugar on each cup. Used 3/4 t of almond and 3/4 t of vanilla extracts.. and of course used butter. On the glaze I used the juice of one lemon 2.5 cups of powdered sugar with 2T of milk with vanilla. The first peice was divine and must go to Bible class tomorrow or I will gain 5 lbs!

Crispy Rosemary Chicken and Fries

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2010
If you want a dish that will make your house smell like its worth coming home for dinner, this is it. I chopped garlic and added lemon zest and stuffed under the skin, that's the only thing I did differently. Next time, I think I will marinate the thighs for more flavor. I also added a few frozen pearl onions. My fries didn't get that crisp, but it was all gone in the end. Thanks for the recipe!

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
Next time I make these, I will reduce the baking powder to 3/4 t and the salt to a scant teaspoon. These came out pretty and more cake like. I baked exactly to specs and let them cool 20 minutes before removing. No brown bottoms...the part I don't like about cc cookies. If you use unsalted butter, then go ahead with the full teaspoon of salt. Better than toll house

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2007
this is a real treat and so so easy. I've made this with butter instead of oil and Cheddar instead of Parm...but this worked great for me on chicken strips for a really fast meal. A little bbq sauce and my boy ate it right up!

White Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2004
This was not what I expected. The cake was dry and dense and the flavor was missing the rich flavor of wedding cake. To make it worse I used wedding cake icing on this website and had made a better crisco icing before. The orange extract should be cut in half and maybe I would use buttermilk next time.
