Classic Waffles

Perfect basic waffle recipe!! I doubled it and made a batch to put in the freezer for the week and the kids loved them. Delicious as is, but you could easily add things to experiment and still end up with great waffles.

Mmm-Mmm Better Brownies

We ate these when they were still hot from the oven and they were perfect! Crispy edges, flaky top, and semi-gooey middle. Chocolatey and chewy :) They were very easy to make, but definitely double the recipe and bake them n 9 x 13 pan bc they go very quickly!!

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

I love these, and I'm a pumpkin lover. I used oil in place of butter and upped the pumpkin by 1/4 cup per other reviewers, and they were perfect! I baked them for 18 minutes and decided to use another frosting recipe on them (mistake! ) but had to throw out the other frosting even though it was very well reviewed. Use the frosting recipe provided, it's perfect for these.

Maple Cream Cheese Frosting

This is a good starting point for maple cream cheese frosting, but there wasn't enough maple flavor and the syrup made it too thin. I think next time I'll leave out the syrup and just add maple flavoring.

Chai Tea Mix

Next time I make this I won't use the French vanilla creamer and I'll cut the sugar way back. Too sweet for me but the spices were great. I hate instant tea, but you can't taste the "instant" in this at all. I added the nutmeg and allspice.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

I've been searching for the best banana bread to be my go-to recipe, and this is definitely it. I've tried many recipes, from this site and others, and this is the only one that turned out perfectly. Super moist, fantastic banana flavor. I used one cup of banana puree as suggested by other reviewers and it ended up being just shy of three bananas. This is by far the best banana bread I've ever had.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

I used a package of refrigerated pie crusts due to time constraints and added vanilla extract and cinnamon as suggested by others. It was amazing!!! The filling was perfectly syrupy without being thin and the flavor was great. I've made apple pie before but never liked it enough to even keep the recipe. This one's definitely a keeper!

Chicken Fried Chicken

I've never had such a crunchy coating on my chicken. I used chicken breasts pounded thin so they would cook through quickly and I dredged them in flour before the egg and crackers as suggested by another reviewer. Mine weren't dry or bland, so I'm not sure why others had that problem. I will never use another fried chicken coating recipe, this one's the best!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

So good! Perfect combination of spices, and the lime juice cuts the heat just enough. We like this so much that we made a large batch of the spice mix and put it in a jar in our spice cabinet. Tasty!

Dough Ornament Recipe

We tried these twice and ended up with very puffy ornaments. The third time we used hot water, kneaded very well for about ten minutes, and let sit on the counter for an hour before baking. We took the temp down to 300 and baked them for almost an hour, and they came out great.

Cinnamon Honey Butter

The honey separated from the butter and ended up looking kind of gross. This was also too sweet for us. We played around with the amounts and found that we really liked it much better with just a drizzle of honey.

Chocolate Covered Cherries II

I've made these twice with great results both times. I found that refrigerating the white mixture for a few hours makes it easier to work with, then freezing the coated cherries before dipping in the chocolate keeps the white mixture from getting gooey in the warm chocolate. Then pop them back in the fridge for awhile and they'll be beautiful!

Molasses Sugar Cookies
