Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Awesome!! I followed the recipe to the T, didnt change a thing & it came out PERFECT!! The kids absolutely loved it as well as the hubby!! Ive made it twice already in 2 weeks (the kids kept askin me to make it again!) The best thing about this recipe is its SO quick & simple with few ingredients. Perfect for any night of the week, especially after a long busy day!! I served it with a salad & italian bread!!

Marinated Mushrooms

Served these as an appetizer for Christmas Eve and they were absolutely delicious!! Also, very very easy to make!! Make way ahead of time and refrigerate until you're ready to serve them!! Will definitely make again!

My Crab Cakes

O.K. I'm not going to rate this one because I made a huge mistake which happened to turn out just fine. While I was making these as an appetizer for Christmas Eve, I noticed that once all the ingredients had been mixed together, it was very dry and wasnt sticking together. After quickly glancing at the recipe, I poured 1/2 cup of oil into the mixture, then realized what I had done. Well, my first thought was too throw it all out but then I decided to just brown them on a very hot non stick pan. Now I personally did not try these, but I did double this recipe and none were left over! Everyone said they were terrific!

American Lasagna

This was excellent!! Served this with Christmas Eve dinner and everyone loved it! I used the recipe to make lasagna roll-ups. I now use the sauce from this recipe all the time!

Alfredo Sauce

Very good. Was definitely a bit too thick so either add extra cream or milk to thin it out and have extra sauce or just cut back on the cheese some.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Don't know if it was just us or the recipe but this just wasn't really for us. The chicken came out dry, the sauce was very bland and there was definitely not enough sauce for all the pasta so the pasta was very dry and flavorless as well. And I even added some milk to the sauce after removing the chicken to try and thin it out some. Oh well, I guess some things just aren't for everyone.

Cranberry Sauce I

This was my first time ever making cranberry sauce and it came out absolutely delicious! I did cook them a little longer too (about 10 minutes or so) and I also mashed the cranberries a little bit as I was mixing them and they came out perfect! I personally never really liked cranberry sauce before, but this I couldn't get enough of!!

Candied Sweet Potatoes

These were just absolutely amazing!! Definitely the best sweet potatoes I've ever eaten and also the only recipe I'll ever use! This was actually my first time ever making sweet potatoes and honestly neither myself or my husband ever really cared for sweet potatoes to begin with. But these were eaten by ALL!! Sweet potatoes will now become a part of our regular menu! And they were very easy to make also which is always a plus!! :)

Make-Ahead Mashed Potatoes

As is, I thought these just weren't very good. They were too dry and bland. I wound up adding about 1/2 cup butter, a little extra milk and some salt. (The onion salt was completely unnoticed) After these changes, they tasted like ordinary mashed potates with milk and butter. I think maybe if you add butter to this recipe you might want to increase the amount of sour cream for extra flavor.

Maple Roast Turkey and Gravy

This was my first year serving Thanksgiving dinner as well as my first attempt at roasting a turkey. All in all it came out O.K. The breast meat did come out too dry but the dark meat was moist and delicious. I goofed a little bit with the gravy though. I forget to save the maple butter mixture, so, I made a paste out of 1/4 cup of the broth left in the pan and made a gravy with that. It was pretty good. Overall, even though the white meat came out too dry this went over pretty well! Especially for a first timer!

Aloha Chicken

I thought this was great! A perfect blend of flavors! Not too sweet, not too tangy. Just right! Followed the recipe to the "T" including the bake time. The meat came out very tender and the suace was very flavorful! Very simple and tasty dish. The crushed pineapple leaves a very pretty presentation! :) This was enjoyed by the whole family including my aunt who had joined us for dinner that night.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Your typically delicious alfredo sauce! And so so so easy to make!! Didn't have any parmesan so I just used all romano and it still came out great! The secret to a GREAT alfredo sauce is the cheese. The better and fresher the cheese, the better the sauce! Period! I used the sauce for a tri-color tortellini alfredo! Yummy!

Easy Chicken Breast

This was just O.K. Nothing special at all but was definitely quick and easy! I did season the chicken with seasoning salt. Next time I will bread and brown the chicken first and double the amount of wine. This also makes pleanty of sauce which is great for serving over some buttered egg noodles.

Maple Glazed Ribs

Delicious!! Only thing I changed was cooking method. After marinating, I threw them in the oven at 350 for 1 hour covered, then 15 - 20 minutes uncovered. They came out perfect!! I doubled this recipe to feed 3 children, ages 10, 9 and 6 and 2 adults and there was not one left!! This is a time consuming recipe but definitely worth it if you have the time!
