My three teenagers wanted late night cookies. So, I headed to bed and they worked together to make these cookies. Not long & I awoke to the delicious smell of sweet, chocolatey cookie-goodness! I didn't want to spoil the magic by walking into a messy kitchen, so I resisted going downstairs for a taste until the morning. Glad I did - these were the BEST cookies I've tasted! I really couldn't believe they were made by my kids, but the proof was there in my mouth! Big, Chewy & Chocolatey - Perfect!
I like a little extra salt to balance the sweet & bring out more chocolate flavors so I use salted butter.
This dough holds up to LOTS & LOTS of chocolate chips! :D Or, choose whatever chips & chunks you like. Great as a white chocolate, macadamia nut, cranberry holiday cookie! Always a hit!
Baking at 325 after refrigerating is ALWAYS how I bake cookies. They have that "Mrs Fields" look & feel this way.
