I am 27 years old, married and work as an accounting manager in a family architectural millwork company in Fresno, Califoria. I also have two boston terriers who I adore named Maggie and Emmie.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook period. Nothing specifically, we eat a lot of lean meat and wheat based pasta meals. I enjoy making wonderful dinners in minimal amounts of time. I am not a big baker but will make the occasional desert. I am ore of a meal and salad cooker I guess you could say.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Using fresh spices in everything I make. If a recipe calls for garlic powder I use real garlic, if it calls for basil, I use fresh. I think fresh ingredients are the key to making amazing food.
My cooking triumphs
Not having to cut the meat open to see if its done! I am finally confident enough in my cooking to know when chicken is no longer pink and when a steak is perfectly rare without ruining it by cutting it open!
My cooking tragedies
Once I was making stuffed shells for a cooking class I was in. I was the lead of my "team" so I was the one who would read the recipe and deligate tasks. The recipe called for 1/4 tsp. of grated lemon rind and I misread is and had one of my teammated grate the whole lemon. Needless to say the end result was a little sour. No pun intended...
