Ronaldo's Beef Carnitas

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
Very Good. I made this in the Crock-pot, twice. The first time I just added 1/2 cup of water and doubled the spices. It was good. The second time, I added a can of beef broth, tripled the spices and added 3 chopped jalapenos. It was great. Served it with fresh tortillas with all the fixings, cheese, guacamole, onions, cilantro and beans. With my Oval crock-pot I turned the meat several times. I used frozen roast so the last couple of hours I turned it on high. Thanks for the great recipe. I will be using it many times!(Crock pot time approx 10 hours with frozen roast.)

Pumpkin Roll I

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2001
Tastes very good. It is a good treat to take to Thanksgiving or Christmas gathering. I used a 13x7 cakepan lined w/ wax paper. I also, rolled it tightly with a clean pillow case. (My dish towels are not the Bakers smooth towels) One small can of pumkin makes 2 pumpkin rolls. One I added nuts to. The other I added chocolate chips. Don't add extra Pumpkin.

Braided Easter Egg Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2005
Thank You Holly for your recipe! It went over great today at the Easter Party. My daughter made this. She baked it for only 15 minutes, removed the eggs since it was doughy around them and cooked the bread five more minutes. She only used 4 eggs. If your not thrilled with the idea of baked eggs you can always make sure there is room for them on the bread and add colored easter egss after the bread is baked.

Shredded Beef for Tacos

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2002
Very tasteful. I didn't use wine. I used a crockpot-using one can of medican hot tomato sauce. After the meat was cooked I dumped half the top sauce to cut down on the fat. I then aded the other can of mexican sauce, onions and cilantro. I cooked for an hour or less on high in the crock pot. Seved wonderful tacos the first day, burritos the second day, and great enchiladas on the second. Yum, I was in heaven eating my favorite foods! Thanks!

Sweet and Sour Meatballs I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2001
Pretty good. My daughter didn't like it, but she doesn't like sweet and sour. The bottle chili sauce can be found in the condiment area. It tastes like thick ketchup. Add 1 small container pineapple. I would mince the onion in a food processor, too. Serve with catonese dinner.

Shrimp Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2001
Very good recipe. I Sprinkled 1 cup of Cheddar cheese on top and used 1 pkg of the pre-cooked, small shrimp which made this very easy. This was very good and hope to make it again, soon! Thanks for the recipe! Made this a 2nd time and didn't care for it at all.

Orange Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2002
* Definitely double the sauce. I had to cook longer because I had extra thick pork chops. Next time, I would cut the soy sauce in half and replace with extra OJ. My daughter did not like it because it tasted like teriyaki. I don't like teriyaki, but I liked it. My husband said it was good, but a bit to salty. Serve with rice. Thanks for the recipe

Amy's Healthy Fruity

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2004
It was good. I used vanilla yogurt and didn't add the soy milk. It wasn't quite what I expected. It just reminded me of a yogurt with lots of good fruit on the bottom. I think next time I will try vanilla ice cream instead of yogurt.

I don't think it was the recipe. I just discovered that I don't like chicken stroganoff.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2002
Very good tasting. The batter it self is so good, you'll have a hard time not to keep on "tasting" it. The cookies made with a mini muffin pan look like they are dainty and would be good for a party. The cookies made with a regular size muffin pan are very good, too. They just don't look as "pretty". Thanks for the recipe!

Chili con Carne I

Reduced size to 10 servings. . Family loved it. I might try adding a can of red chili sauce to it. Definitly a recipe to make on a stay at home day.

Alison's Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2002
Yum! I cut the bouillon cubes to 8 as suggested. The soup was a bit to spicy for my daughter, but perfect for me. I also, used a 28 oz can whole tomatoes and slightly used the blender on them, because I didn't have crushed tomatoes. Very easy to make. Thanks for the great recipe. I used this recipe with left over roast and cooked it on the stove. It was easy and still very good. I still like the whole tomatoes in a blender better than the crushed ones. It just seems to taste better! Thanks for one of my all time favorite recipes!

I used skinless drumsticks and cooked 10 to 15 minutes longer, turning 1/2 way thru. Instead of the canned chestnuts I added ALOT of frozen stir fry Veges. Served with brown rice. Also, used apple cider vinnegar because that's what I had. Thanks for recipe!

Frozen Peppermint Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 15, 2005
This was really good. It was even better 2 days later. I added 2 or 3 cups more WF chocolate cookies with chocolate filling crumbs with the same amount of butter (it helps to spray the pan also)in a 9" deep dish pie pan. I froze it for and hour then covered it with foil so it wouldn't stick to the foil. I brought it to work and everyone enjoyed it and asked for the recipe! This would also, be a good base recipe to make a mint ice cream pie. Thanks for the recipe!

Avocado Blast

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2004
I wish this recipe turned out great because of the orginality of such a recipe, but it just did not do it for me. I love avacados and sweetened condensed milk, but not together. But, Thanks for giving me a chance to try something different!
