My change- rub potato with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt. Delish and a meal alone!

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
Just made these and DH says they are pretty stellar. He said they are so huge that they could be eaten as an open sandwich. I made the meatballs smaller so I too had 24 meatballs. I used left over spaghetti sauce that I had. It was a name brand spaghetti sauce that I had already browned beef up and added to it (with a splash of brown sugar). So my sauce was very hearty. I used mozzerella cheese too. Will be a keeper and DH will be taking the recipe to the fire house.

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
Wonderful, wonderful! I consider this resturant quality! I didn't have the green onions on hand, but I can only imagine if I did! My family is typically a skim milk clan but I recommend not using skim for potato soup. My DH is also a huge meat eater and he enjoyed this for dinner and didn't insist that I still have some other meat to serve.

Chicken Danielle

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
Good recipe and easy to do. In all honesty, we only did this one because my DD name is Danielle. However, it was good and will do it again. I added a touch of EVOO and garlic/cheese to the linguine before tossing it with the chicken.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: May 26, 2009
A little piece of heaven... A fellow SPED teacher makes these for our school events and I swear, we fight over them. We each claim that we could devore the whole lot alone! Skip the cake, chips and dip, and head for the lil smokies!! Oink..

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
Excellent and I packaged the rest for breakfast for the rest of the week. I am going to try skim milk and add spinach today in an effort to lighten the recipe. Thanks for the recipe!

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
We tried this and my family just didn't care for it too much. I am not saying it was horribly bad or that it needed this or that, I think we just aren't Cincinnati Chili lovers like many who have posted on here. We will continue to look further for something more to our liking.

Pleasant Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
I am not a big pork chop fan, but had picked some thin p. chops up at the store because they were on sale. This recipe worked fine for us, not an all time favorite meal, but I will be using this recipe for pork chops from here on out. I added mushrooms and green pepper along with the onions though. And I didn't have a full hour to let it simmer, but it tasted good. I also didn't have a bay leaf, so I used sweet basil. So good job Clyde!

Marinade for Steak I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
I have made this marinade for my steaks three times now and will be doing it again for my husband's fire crew (USAFA). I love it! Very tender and yet it doesn't take away the steak flavor. I have used a wide variety of steaks with this, and they all turn out great...except when my hubby left mine on the grill too long and burned it. I was so mad because I had been looking forward to that steak all day...and it was burnt to a crisp. His was done perfectly though...imagine that! I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good marinade.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2004
My kids even like this! I use cooking sherry instead of milk though..1/3 can (the soup can). I also add water chestnuts to it. My 7 yr. old daughter loves water chestnuts so I thought it would appeal to her. I great pot luck pleaser too.
