Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2012
Good taste. (I followed the recipe exactly.) Mine didn't taste like caramel but had a similar consistency. No complaints here though, yum!

Zucchini Fritters

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2012
Pretty good. I plan on playing with the spices a bit next time. I drained the zucchini by placing it in a colander first and pushing my metal mixing bowl down onto it. I then placed the mixture in a kitchen towel and folded it over, pushed a glass pie plate on top which allowed me to see how much water was being pushed out based on how wet the towel got. I am glad I did the colander first because I could have easily gone through a couple towels.

Mango Lassi II

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
Delish! I tweaked of course, used this as a base. used frozen mangos, probably a cup of yogurt and Sunny D. Whenever I make a smoothie, fruit first, scoop of my yogurt, and then fill it with juice- so the juice covers almost all of the fruit.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
My changes: boiled veggies in chicken broth, added diced cooked potatoes, put a dash of basil, garlic salt, and white pepper to the mix. I mixed the chicken in with the "gravy" mixture of veggies, gave it a good stir and then poured it into the pie plates.

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
I liked it but add mushrooms and cheese to my rice. A resturant in Colorado Springs does it this way and I always loved it, so I was looking for a basic recipe to tweak, this was it.

Pizza Sauce and Dough

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
Yum. I made both. I realized after the fact that I didn't have the beer. So, I added more water and oil until it was the appropriate dough like consistency. I can't wait to try it with the beer though. The sauce- I had diced tomatoes on hand and only 1 small can of paste. DH did not put sauce through food processor like I said so it was chunky sauce. It still tasted great, but hard to spread. Oh, and I added a handful of brown sugar- we like it a bit sweet. Will do again and again.

I didn't care for these too much. I followed the recipe and I thought I should like them. But just didn't. I was hoping for a quick grab and go breakfast but was disappointed.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2010
Excellent and resturant quality. Here is what I did differently: I had some extra heavy whipping cream left over from the crab soup I made so I used half milk (skim) and half cream. I also didn't have enough cream cheese, I did have some neufchatel cheese so I used it too. (Again, half cream cheese and the other half nuefchatel.) I also used 2 cloves garlic, not garlic powder. Then I added a splash of basil. I threw in some scallops with butter and garlic in a pan and seared each side for a couple of minutes. I topped each plate of fettucine with a couple scallops and a splash of parsley and served it. Everyone loved it. Great!!!

I have just discovered crab soup after moving to Williamsburg, VA and love it. However, going out to eat everytime gets expensive. So thought I would try this and it tastes just like the resturant version. Thanks so much!

Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
Easy! I didn't use red potatoes, only had russett potatoes. I put plenty of salt and garlic salt in the water that they cooked in too.
