Sweet Potato Souffle I

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I used pecans instead of walnuts. This seriously is the best sweet potato recipe ever! I've made several others and no one raved like they did with this one. My mother was an excellent cook, and at Thanksgiving dinner my sister said that my sweet potatoes were even better than Mom's. Now that's a compliment!

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I added a touch of A1 and a dash of Chulula to the mix--Awesome! I HATED meatloaf as a kid (the sweet syrupy ketchup topping kind...bleh!). I have never loved meatloaf more after this recipe. It was delicious!

Beer Cheese Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
I used velveeta instead of cheddar cheese because it blends better. Serve this Beer Cheese Dip with the Buttery Soft Pretzels from this site--but for the pretzel recipe, instead of disolving the yeast in water use the same BEER (warm) that you used for the dip! The combination of flavors in the beer dip and the beer pretzels can't be beat!! I've never seen an appetizer vanish quicker!!

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2009
To make this recipe even better, disolve the yeast and sugar in 1 1/4 cups warm BEER (instead of water). And then serve with the Beer Cheese Dip II recipe from this site! I've never had an appetizer vanish sooner! And everyone asked for the recipe!

Tuna Fish Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This was really good! I didn't have any celery on hand so I used celery salt (and so eliminated the plain salt) and it tasted great. I added a touch of cayenne for some spice and it was fabulous in a sandwich or on buttery crackers!

Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
This was great! The chili powder was a great addition for a nice zing. I omitted Brazil nuts, added a dash of lemon juice and a bit more garlic and it was fabulous!! Served it as an appetizer at a dinner party and it was gone in minutes!!

Peach Crisp III

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2006
Delicious!! However, do not sprinkle the cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice on top of the granola topping or else it will burn in the oven. Mix the spices in with the oat/granola mixture from the start and add a dash of vanilla extract and it will be perfect!

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2004
I thought the reviewers who said that his recipe tasted like tuna casserole must have been nuts....they were right!!! Trust me, if you have a problem with tuna casserole DO NOT make this recipe. On the other hand, my best friend, who doesn't mind tuna casserole loved it...to each his own I guess.

Indian Tandoori Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2004
Very good! Tandoori chicken, because of the way it is traditionally baked (in big clay ovens), is not eaten with sauce so don't let that comment turn you off from trying this marvelous recipe.

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2004
Very good!! My whole family loved it! I even made a friend of mine who is an amateur chef try it and he said it was fantastic but would recommend adding a dash of thyme for the perfect touch!
