About this Cook
I'm married to Linda (32 yrs), Have two grown children, a girl and a boy. I love cooking and grilling and enjoy being with family and friends.
My favorite things to cook
Most everything. My favorite meat is chicken. I also like southern cooking,Tex-Mex and Italian foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom cooked for a family of 8 (six children). She was a great cook. Dad worked mostly while mom took care of the home and family. Mom's best dish was her fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cream gravy. She maded cakes and pies and made wonderful cocoa fudge. She has been gone now for 8 years but I have many memories of her home cooking and great recipes.
My cooking triumphs
cooking Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner for my large family and friends. Turkey and dressing with all the trimings, mom's recipes.
My cooking tragedies
Not many, but I have had trouble making fudge like mom used to.

Chicken Breasts Pierre
I fixed this for supper tonight and it was so good!! Prepared just as written but didn't use hot sauce, don't care for spicy food, I did cut chili powder to 1 tbs. Next time I'll add some sauted onion, because love onions. I will make again!! Served it on top of wide egg noodles and had fresh steamed asparagus for side dish. UMMMM. Thanks

One Dish Chicken Bake
Was perfect supper on a cold and rainy night. Good and hearty. I used cream of chicken soup (didn't have mushroom) and turned out de-lish. I served this with mashed potatoes and glazed carrots with some crusty bread. Thanks, Allison.

Buttermilk Chess Pie
This is just like the buttermilk pie my mom used to make. It took me back to what I call the good-old days, a glass of cold sweet milk and a piece of buttermilk pie. I keep it in the fridge because I like it cold. Thanks for the recipe.
