Marinated Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2005
This was so good. I used a small cookie cutter to cut the cheddar into small stars and flowers. I out the cream cheese in the freezer for a little while before I cut it and had no problem. Everyone's favorite was the cream cheese it really soaks up the flavor of the marinade. It made for a really pretty presentation. I doubled the marinade and put some in the middle of the platter with a small spoon so they could pour extra onto their cheese.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2005
I have made this several times. Here is was I do so the cheese does not stick to the foil. I bake the Lasagna for 25 minutes covered without the top layer of cheese, the uncover and place the slice of cheese on the top and bake for another 25 minutes uncovered. (Spraying the foil with cooking spray still made the cheese stick to the foil.)

Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2005
This recipe was very rich! I could only eat very little. We had to throw most of it away. I would prefer a little more of the pudding layer. I only did two layers and didnt have enough to cover it completly. I would recommend doubling the pudding. I also put whip cream on the top.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2005
This was good, however it was a little too sweet the first time I made it. The second time I used light brown sugar instead of white, I left out the vanilla, and I added a teaspoon of almond extract to the crust. It was much better the second time!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2004
These cookies are great. I use all kinds of fruit preserves. I prefer the smukers 100% simply fruit. Its also good in strawberry and bluberry. What I do is put a little bowl of flour next to me and dip the tip of my finger into the flower then make the indentation in the cookie. I use my finger not my thumb, and make it deep. I have also used a chocolate and strawberry cookie frostings to fill these with instead of fruit, and everyone loved it! I never use the glaze.
