About this Cook
I love to bake in my spare time. I have been called a bake-a-holic. I just turned 30 this year and I am learning more about cooking every year. I would love to open up a bakery one day.
My favorite things to cook
I like to bake a decorate cakes. I love pies, but really any dessert.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The holidays are very traditional for us. We throw a huge feast at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I bake tons of deserts.
My cooking triumphs
I have cooked food for over 50 people. I thought it was a sucess.
My cooking tragedies
I think it is Meringue. I have been working on making a Meringue that doesn't weep or shrink...still trying.

Marinated Cheese
This was so good. I used a small cookie cutter to cut the cheddar into small stars and flowers. I out the cream cheese in the freezer for a little while before I cut it and had no problem. Everyone's favorite was the cream cheese it really soaks up the flavor of the marinade. It made for a really pretty presentation. I doubled the marinade and put some in the middle of the platter with a small spoon so they could pour extra onto their cheese.

World's Best Lasagna
I have made this several times. Here is was I do so the cheese does not stick to the foil. I bake the Lasagna for 25 minutes covered without the top layer of cheese, the uncover and place the slice of cheese on the top and bake for another 25 minutes uncovered. (Spraying the foil with cooking spray still made the cheese stick to the foil.)

Double Chocolate Mocha Trifle
This recipe was very rich! I could only eat very little. We had to throw most of it away. I would prefer a little more of the pudding layer. I only did two layers and didnt have enough to cover it completly. I would recommend doubling the pudding. I also put whip cream on the top.
