About this Cook
I am a mother of 3 kids, a 7 year old son and a 4year old daughter, and our littlest addition, a girl who is almost 8 months.I love to spend time with my family and find new and exciting dinners to cook and get the ratings from my family! I am also married to a picky eater, so finding recipes to try that he would like is difficult.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook a good steak! Who doesn't? I also love throwing things together in a crock pot. I am more for comfort foods, but down to try anything new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is a pro at making German pancakes and now I can make them to perfection too. We put either powdered sugar or applesauce on them.
My cooking triumphs
When a new dish comes out fantastic because I always incorporate my own ingredients and twists on whatever I make!
My cooking tragedies
Um, mostly with cooking rice. Like whole grain and wild rice. I never seem to get it to the right texture, dont ask me why!

Sausage Pasta
I will give this recipe a 4 star, mainly because I am so sick and can hardly taste anything. I used fresh spinach, marjoram instead of basil, mild italian sausage, red onion. I did not add all the chick stock. It was easy to make and I am sure it added a good smell to the home .

Simple Strawberry Syrup
very tasty.I think the ripeness really depends on the outcome of this syrup. I think if you catch some strawberries on sale about to expire at the store, that would really make for a good batch! thank you!

Bob's Awesome Lasagna
this was a good recipe. I will make again, but definatly add more meat and add more seasonings to spice it up a bit. It was just cheese cheese cheese. I mixed a tub of ricotta with the cottage cheese, adding an egg as a binder, also added parmesean cheese into the cheese mixture.
