Sausage and Zucchini Lasagna

I used 1/2 hot and 1/2 mild sausage, added one more zucchini and a chopped onion. I skipped the egg white in the cheese mixture. I really liked the added flavor/texture from the zucchini!

Kheer (Rice Pudding)

Wonderful! My preschooler and I made this to celebrate Diwali. I didn't have any white rice on hand, so I used our usual long grain brown rice and doubled the cooking time (just put the rice in with the milks & sugar and let it all heat up/boil together). I can also see doubling the cardamom, but that's just personal preference.

Premium Pizza Crust

I have to agree with some other reviewers that the dough is very sticky as written. I even subbed 1 cup of whole wheat flour, since that usually helps "soak up" moisture, but it was still exceedingly wet. So one star off because the flour measurements seem off. Next time I will probably add 1 more cup of flour. HOWEVER, 4 full stars for flavor and the slight chewy texture, it was great! I will make it again, just remember to add more flour.

Stove Top Pot Roast

Very easy, meat was so tender it could be cut with a butter knife and vegetables were soft, the timing was right. I followed the recipe as written and used water, and I thought the flavor was not as "beefy" or rich as it could be, next time I will follow review suggestions and try beef broth. My husband enjoyed his meat with a horseradish mustard.

Honey Wheat Bread III

Used olive oil for the vegetable oil, and sea salt. Baked in a dark metal loaf pan, came out perfectly at 35 minutes. Thank you for a great recipe!

Yogurt Cake

Wonderful cake! I also used 1.5 sticks butter, 1.5 cups brown sugar instead of white, and a full tablespoon of lemon extract plus lemon zest (we like lemony!) and then did vanilla yogurt since that's what I had on hand. Delicious, moist, flavorful. We did not do the glaze as we thought the cake was sweet enough, instead we drizzled a homemade raspberry sauce over our slices. Lovely summertime dessert.

Easy Whole Wheat Bread

Nice light texture and the whole wheat adds a nice nuttiness. Made with Kitchenaid mixer for the dough and then rose/shaped by hand. Very small recipe, made 6 dinner rolls (baked at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes). Plan on doubling or tripling the recipe next time! I think this is a nice basic recipe that you could add flavors onto depending on what you are using the bread for, this could easily become either savory or sweet. Skipped the optional egg substitute, used olive oil for my vegetable oil, 1 T. maple syrup instead of 2 T. white sugar, didn't have bread flour or rapid rise yeast so just used all purpose flour and regular yeast in same amounts.

Banana Waffles

Tasty--we did mash the bananas in. Also swapped in 1/4 cup whole wheat flour to add a little extra flavor. For us it made 5 round waffles. Next time may add a bit of salt.

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Lovely pizza crust if you like a bready crust. We make this every week for our family "pizza night". I dump the ingredients into my bread machine on the "Dough" setting. We avoid white sugar so usually use 100% maple syrup in place of the sugar, and it works beautifully. Sometimes I'll add garlic powder/basil/oregano or a bit of parmesan to the crust for extra flavor.

Pleasing Potato Pie

What a nice recipe--like a quiche with a hash brown crust. I used shredded new potatoes (skin on), and baked in a 9.5" glass pie pan, which worked well. This recipe is a good base to modify based on your flavor preferences--next time I will add green onion, more spices, and possibly a stronger cheese like gruyere.
