No Roll Pie Crust I

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2008
Unfortunately this did not work for me. I followed the directions, which is unusual for me, but the results were less than satisfactory.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
Excellent and very simple to prepare. I did up the sauce by 50% as it seemed a little dry after sitting in the fridge a few hours. I skipped the celery and added cubed cheddar instead. I also used green onion vs. the regular kind.

Black Tea Lemonade

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
Very good and very simple. My husband is hooked. The only change I made was to use 5 teabags vs. 3 and to let the tea brew 10-15 minutes before adding the lemonade.

Chocolate Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: May 5, 2008
I thought this was a very good recipe. Almost too moist in my opinion. My husband requested I frost the entire cake so I made a dark chocolate butter cream frosting. (It was his birthday cake). I served it with fresh strawberries, homemade vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
These cookies are excellent! The only changes I made were to double the vanilla (I do this with every cookie recipe), cut back on the amount of chips and use the baking size Reeces Peanut Butter Cups. The first time I made these I used the entire chip amount and had "leftover" chips in the bottom of the bowl so I cut back a bit when I made them the second time. These were a big hit with my kids as well as the entire staff at the school where I teach! No leftovers! Almost forgot ~ I used Hershey's dark cocoa, my new fav!

Praline Sundae Topping

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2007
This is so wonderful and quite easy to make. I doubled the vanilla and chose not to add the pecans. Instead of stirring in the milk I put the cooled mixture in my blender, added the milk and vanilla and whipped it for about 3 minutes. Creamy, smooth and delicious! My sister requested caramel sauce for our July 4th get together and I can't wait to share this one! (I have the container taped shut to keep me out of it!)

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2007
Very good muffins. I added vanilla and cinnamon to the batter and chocolate chips to 1/2 the batch to satisfy my son's sweet tooth. Both kinds were wonderful. The muffins freeze well too which is a plus!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
LOVED IT! I used whole wheat and sour dough bread then skipped the meat as I prefer meatless stuffing. I will make this again.

Gingerbread Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
YUMMY! I made this recipe for gifts. I dipped half of them in dark chocolate and half in white chocolate then added Christmas sprinkles. I may add more ginger next time but then that is a personal preference.

These were okay. Out of the oven they were very nice but I thought they dried out very quickly.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
This was spectacular! I followed the recipe except for using 2 8 x8 inch pans vs. 1 9 x 13 so I could freeze one for later on. My husband said it needed no changes. I do not normally like Italian sausage but it sure worked in this recipe. I plan on using the sauce recipe by itself over pasta vs. any store stuff from now on!!

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
These are pretty good. A bit crunchy. I followed the recipe with the exception of replacing the raisins with mini m & m's. Next time I will add more peanut butter and a bit more corn syrup.

Very good. I cut the recipe in half so I could use my breadmaker. When both my kids like the same food I know the recipe is a keeper!

Excellent. I used this recipe to make 70 giant cookies for my children's school staff. It took 4 batches but each batch turned out great.

Cookie Dough for Ice Cream (Eggless)

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
A wonderful addition to a bowl of ice cream (if you can stop eating it plain!). I used milk instead of water, doubled the vanilla and added 1/2 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips. I put the mixture on a piece of plastic wrap and formed a log/loaf after sealing the wrap. I also dusted the cut pieces with powdered sugar to help prevent sticking when I put the pieces in a container to store in freezer.

Sue's Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
This sauce was easy and delicious. I have been trying to perfect my husband's grandmother's recipe for years with little success. I know have "my" recipe to pass on. It makes enough to share and keeps well in the fridge.
