Cran-Dandy Cooler

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
This is good! And easy! The splash of cherry juice gives the whole thing a nice color.

Scott Ure's Clams And Garlic

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Splendid recipe - the broth was sooo flavourful. I'd never cooked whole clams before, so didn't know how long they might take to open. My littleneck clams took about 5 minutes. I should have added the butter around the 3-min mark, I think. My only other recommendation is to have wine for the sauce AND for the cook. But I bet most of you already know that. ;)

Orzo with Chicken and Artichokes

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2007
This is a very good recipe and comes together quickly! I didn't have any cooked chicken on hand so I marinated cubed chicken breasts in greek salad dressing then grilled them. Deeelish! I agree, too, with others who suggest cutting the orzo by half.

Loved the pistachios, and the cookies make a colorful addition to a coffe-themed gift basket.

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
Excellent recipe! For a lower-sodium version, I make refried beans from dry beans, and use homemade chili (again with dry beans) for the sauce. It's a little extra effort, but worth it if you have to watch your sodium intake.

Cauliflower Soup

Quick, easy and yummy. I took a cue from a couple of other reviews and added some light smoked sausage - still only 90 calories per cup!

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
Awesome filling. I whiz the whole mixture in my food processor to get a great texture. To fill the shells easily, scoop all of the filling mixture into a zipper bag. Just snip the tip off one corner of the bag and squeeze the mixture out of the hole into the shells. Much tidier!

Indian Saffron Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
Excellent recipe. I topped each serving with a light sprinkle of cinnamon and toasted pine nuts as they do in a local restaurant. Scrumptious!

Crunchy Oven Fried Tilapia

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2006
While some reviewers have noted a lack of flavor, I think this recipe makes a good substite for deep-fried fish (which doesn't have much seasoning). We enjoy it, and it's become a low-fat staple in our home.

Orzo with Kale

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2012
This is a great recipe - the yellow orzo is beautiful. I thought the pasta-to-veg ratio was a little skewed to the pasta-side for my own taste. The second time I made it I used only half the orzo and added some halved grape tomatoes and toasted pine nuts. The splash of red made for a very colourful side dish!
