Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2014
These were great! I made this recipe for my family and everyone agreed that its a KEEPER! I did modify the recipe based on other reviews. I used an egg wash and Italian bread crumbs with Parmesan cheese, doubled the sauce, and baked in the oven after browning. I substituted prosciutto and provolone in place of ham and swiss. Loved it!!

Meat was tender, but something was off in flavor.

Thai Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2014
Awesomely refreshing salad! Followed the recipe, except I had 2 cucumbers and used 1/3 rice vinegar and sugar. I didn't have jalapeno, so I substituted 2 tbs Sambal (fresh red chili paste). It had an awesome kick! Paired well with my Korean bbq ribs and rice. This is definitely a keeper!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2014
I made these stuffed peppers for my family. I followed advise from other reviewers: cutting the peppers in half lengthwise, adding a can of diced tomatoes (I used tomato with diced jalapenos), adding garlic to the meat, and I doubled the worcestershire sauce. I cooked a box of beef flavored rice before adding it to the meat (I didn't have to season with salt and pepper). I added tomato soup inside the peppers before filling with meat. Also, I used yellow, orange, and green peppers; all were tasty and varied in flavor. My family really liked the recipe, only was missing texture. I think next time I will top the peppers with Parmesan cheese, for added crunch.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2014
These were easy and delicious. I make a couple batches. The first one I made following the recipe and it tasted good. The second batch I made I added Cayenne pepper; it was sweet and spicy, I loved it!! I will make these again as an appetizer or snack.

Healthier Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2014
This was a really nice seasoning for potatoes. The fresh herbs make the potatoes special. I used red potatoes, kept the peel on. I would make it again.

Jasmine Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
This recipe tasted bland. I had thai jasmine BROWN rice, so i don't know if the strong brown rice taste took away from the flavors and I didn't add the bay leaf. Also, I made this with chicken stalk and water 50/50. I will try this again with regular jasmine rice.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
This recipe is super simple and tasty. The paprika makes this chicken salad so flavorful! I like a little more flavor, so I added a dash of onion and garlic powder. I didn't have dried cranberries so I substituted red grapes, quartered. Toasting the pecans in a pan for a couple minutes make the nuts more flavorful. Also, I had frozen chicken breast that i cooked in crock-pot seasoned with salt and pepper. It was surprisingly moist. I will make this again and next time with dried cranberries.

Asian Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2013
Very good! I added red onion. The red chili pepper was sweet and didn't add much spice so I added a TBS of Sambal (ground red chili pepper/very spicy). Maybe if you want it spicy add Thai red chili peppers instead.. This recipe is so fresh and a great side dish or snack.
