Mushroom Stuffed Beef Rouladen

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
This does take some time to make, but it is worth it. 4 stars instead of 5 only because it didn't make nearly enough gravy, so I double the gravy the second time, and the second time I made it I used Marsala wine instead of red and it was MUCH better. The second time I also just used regular white mushrooms and didn't notice much difference in taste (and they were cheaper and easier to find) This makes an impressive looking meal and I would serve this to guests.

Isaac's Juicy Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Maybe I did something wrong, but this did not turn out well at all. The flavors didn't seem to meld well and the breadcrumbs overpowered the chicken. I only ate 3 bites and gave up on it. Joe ate one thigh, and said it was "OK, but not a 'make again'"

Dennie's Fresh Lobster Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
Eh, it was a bit bland. I tried a few different spices (garlic, onion powder, etc) before I added some Tony's Creole seasoning. That was the PERFECT addition.

Southern Baked Yellow Squash

Wow! Loved this! I used Italian bread crumbs, but followed exactly other than that. Even my VERY picky soldier gobbled this up.

Cheese Crispies

Nom, nom, nom. I love these (but cook for a bit longer to make extra crispy). I just have to have self control when I make them because I can easily eat them all.

Not the healthiest thing for breakfast, but so good. They are great to grab on the way out the door.

Lobster Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
Yummy!!!! I have made this once and will be making it very often! Since we are inland I used imitation lobster meat and it still was great. I can't wait to try it with real lobster. The only suggestion I have is to add some garlic. I also put fresh Parmesan cheese on my portion since bf doesn't eat cheese.

Easy French Dip Sandwiches

These are great! I add dehydrated minced onion and a couple of cans of mushrooms to mine. These are on the menu frequently in the winters.

Ground Beef Wellington

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
We really liked these, but, as previously stated they are a bit bland as is. I added lots of garlic and plan on experimenting more the next time I make them. I also will triple the sauce recipe next time since it really made this dish.

Idaho-Style Finger Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
I'd never heard of these type of steaks (but my family is from Oregon so I knew what fry sauce was!). We love these! The freezing is VERY important as is making sure your oil is hot enough.
