I doubled the recipe and the only alterations I used were subbed the oil for apple sauce..the batter was water but I did a test run and it was a sloppy mess to no prevail ended up adding two more cups of flour and a another teaspoon of powder and then it was waffle batter that cooked correctly.. I am so sorry but I have to give one star as the original recipe was not edible.. the only other thing I can think of that may have had an effect would be we use fresh milk (we live on a farm) and eggs..sooo our eggs are much larger.
