About this Cook
After getting married five years ago and blending two families, I realized...oh no, I need to start cooking! With a husband and three kids, I jumped on the internet and found this great website.

I love baking the most, but will try any dish that has a good rating!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our newest traditions is making the "Zippy Egg Casserole" for Thanksgiving morning, and Christmas Eve morning (which allows leftovers for Christmas morning as well). My husband LOVES that dish with a little hot sauce on it! It has become our annual holiday breakfast tradition now.
My cooking triumphs
So far, I have had the best of luck with everything I've tried from allrecipes.
My cooking tragedies
I can;t think of any of hand, but I do recall calling Pizza Hut a time or two for this very reason.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff
This recipe was great! My whole family loved it. I added a jar of sliced mushrooms with garlic the last half hour or so just to "beef it up" a bit, then served it over egg noodles. I grated some fresh parmesan and chopped italian parlsey on it -- everyone thought it was soooo good!!!

BLT Salad
This IS the best salad I've ever had! I put a bit of a "club salad" and a "chopped salad" twist on it by chopping my lettuce into small bite size pieces, adding chopped avocado and cucumber, then topping it with some (still slightly warm) cut up hard boiled eggs (which I am normally not a fan of). Since I am a garlic lover, I also added a bit more garlic powder than the recipe calls for (you can mix your dressing in a bowl by whipping the ingredients with a wire wisk and it turns out just as good). Love the garlic after-taste!!!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes
These were different from the recipes I am used to where you "assemble" everything then bake, but they turned out really good. A nice change from the usual ones I make. The sauce turned out really good too!
