Marinated Tuna Steak

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2015
I couldn't get any fresh parsley or oregano, so I had to use the dry seasoning. Also, couldn't grill due to rain. i cut 8 tuna steak servings about 1 inch thick and 3 1/2 inches round, marinated in the fridge for 30 minutes, and broiled it for 5 minutes per side basting after the flip. Turned out great! Really like the flavor as did the rest of the family. Probably could have shaved off a minute or so of cooking to make it a little more juicy, but was very pleased. Thanks for the recipe.

Amish White Bread

I've made this several times. It has consistently turned out great. I love the fact that it makes 2 loaves so I can have one and give warm slices to my neighbors all around. I must say, they are very happy to see me walking up the drive with my tin foiled gift. Great and easy recipe. I recommend 100%

The Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2014
Out of all things I cook, this is the one my 7 year old daughter requests first. I did add the bacon strips on top as was suggested.

Pasta with Scallops, Zucchini, and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
My family absolutely loved this one. After setting the pasta aside for a bit, I had to rinse it in cool water to pull them apart, but it came out great. Tasted restaurant quality. We really enjoyed it. Thanks so much for the recipe.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2013
Didn't have the thick ham, so I used ham sandwich slices and cut them small. Still came out great... Can't wait to try these with the larger ham. I rate all these by my family and friends reaction and my wife said I should make this for her folks. 'Nuff said.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2013
Had this with friends tonight and got rave reviews. Made a couple of errors. Make sure you use thin slices of mozzarella (mine were sliced sandwich thickness and I had to add more than suggested to fill in top layer). Also, I would make more of the ricotta cheese mix (maybe double). I had to put about 2+ cups of meat sauce on each layer and still had some left over (used 1lb of lean beef). The sauce came out a little oily, but tasted awesome. Maybe I should have drained the meat after browning. The top layer of parmesan never got "crusty" so I may try setting it under the broiler for a little while (I'm no pro cook, so I'm assuming that would help). All in all, what a great flavor. Really enjoyed making this dish. And, much like the greatest steak marinade in existence, it didn't disappoint. This one goes directly to my favorites.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2013
Great marinade. I made it exactly to specs adding the optional hot pepper sauce and (fresh) minced garlic. I put 2 huge T-bones in a ziploc bag with the marinade and flipped them over every 30 min to an hour for 6 hours. Set left 2 burners on grill to full blast and left the right 2 off. After grill reached about 600 degrees, I seared both sides for 3 minutes on direct heat side then put the steaks on the indirect heat side. Using a electronic thermometer, I closed the lid and let the internal temperature slowly creep up to 140°F. Steaks came out perfect. The only concern is that some of my guests may want more "steak" flavor than I got from the marinade at 6 hours. Next time, will marinate for 4 - 4 1/2 hours and see if it doesn't come out with a little more beef flavor. All in all, my daughter excitedly ate 2 helpings (1 before even touching her favorite food, mashed potatos and gravy)and my wife said it was one of the best steaks she had ever had, period. Many thanks for the recipe. It will be put in my "bag of tricks" and I will definitely be seeing it again.
