About this Cook
I am a 21 year old girl, who is obsessed with Bobby Flay and loves baking!! I am a huge food network fan and also like Giada de Laurenitis and Guy Fieri. My favorite shows are Worst Cooks in America and Cupcake Wars. I hope to inspire others with my creative baking projects.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are cupcakes, cookies, pies(etc.) Other than baking, I love to make breakfast breads and experiment wildly with crazy and yummy kinds of pancakes. Occasionally, I will make soups (typically French inspired)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Since my family is Swedish, I have a lot of old family recipes for Swedish meatballs, sausage and other Swedish delicacies. Aside from that, I try to make modern versions of the classic Swedish dishes.
My cooking triumphs
Although I have had many cooking triumphs,(Along with fails)was my strawberry pie. I completely free styled without a recipe and to my shock, and amazement I made a really yummy homemade strawberry pie.
My cooking tragedies
While browsing the recipes on allrecipes.com I found what looked like a great healthy biscuit recipe. With only three ingredients and a total prep/cook time of 30 min, I couldn't go wrong. However, the biscuits tasted more like a rock than a biscuit. I looked back at the recipe and realized that I had forgotten to fold the dough twice before putting it in the oven and that my biscuit were two times thinner than they were supposed to be. But with every fail comes a learning experience and I learned now that you should read the recipe fully before jumping to conclusions

The Best Parmesan Chicken Bake
This is an amazing recipe, yet I added butter to the croutons to make it more moist. My family loved it!!! 2 thumbs up!

Shelly's Super Salad
I thought this was an okay recipe however 2 cups of dressing is WAY too much. I also would have loved for you to explain how to make a dressing rather than just using store bought. All in all though, it was a pretty good flavor pairings.

Banana Banana Bread
I thought this was an excellent recipe, however it lacked flavor. I added 3 cups of mashed banana rather than 2 1/3 cups. Other than that, great recipe. My family loved it!
