About this Cook
I am newly married! My husband cooks/bakes way better than me! I love allrecipes because of other users ratings of recipes! I know which ones work, I love reading the comments on how to fine tune a recipe! LOVE IT! If I had more time, I'd make wonderful meals everyday! Cooking and baking are luxuries to me!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts right now are my favorites. Also, I like cooking with wine. I would like to learn more about different wines and what foods they compliment.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On the day Julia Child passed away, I bought her book, Baking with Julia. It's my favorite cookbook!
My cooking triumphs
Just recently made Dutch Babies or German pancakes. They are soooo good, fluffy oven baked pancakes topped with fresh squeezed lemon juice, melted butter and powdered sugar.
My cooking tragedies
Burned pretty much all the Christmas cookies I made last year. Waste of time! Now, I bought a timer so I can keep track of when the cookies are ready.

Dutch Babies II
SOOO good! I add fresh grated nutmeg when I have it for more flavor. Also, I make it with Bobs Red Mill baking mix for my sister who needs it Gluten Free. Turns out great. No one knows it's GF.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip
SOOOO good! I bought 1 1oz package of pudding instead of 1 5oz package of pudding in error. I ended up using the 1 package of pudding plus about 1/2 cup powdered sugar. I also used my own spices: allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg and a little salt instead of pumpkin pie spice. Made this the night before. Everyone loved it! Wonder if this would work with Splenda.

Caramel Apple Dip
SOOOO good! Super easy, ready to eat right after making or right out of the fridge! Great with apples, ginger snaps. I used new Kraft caramel bits 1st time about 1 1/4 bags, 2nd time, doubled the recipe and used about 2 fulls bags of caramel squares (minus the few we ate during unwrapping). The caramel bits melted easier. While melting the caramel squares with water, I slightlt browned the bottom of caramel in the pan. There was small darker brown bits in caramel, but no one even noticed, it tastes so good!
