Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2014
This is a wonderful pizza crust. I substituted 1/2 c whole wheat flour for the nutrition. I pre-baked it for 10 min at 450F before adding toppings. I baked it on a pizza stone with cornmeal on it and it had a nice texture and browned lightly on the bottom.

Tomato-Curry Lentil Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2014
I love this recipe. I did as others suggested and used chicken broth instead of water. My tomato was fresh from my garden. I added a chopped up sweet potato and used one full teaspoon of curry powder. It was perfect. A great gluten-free recipe for me. Quick and easy.

Chocolate Chai

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2013
Made this today for Halloween for my husband and me. We both loved it. Put a dollop of whipped cream on top. I am a huge lover of chai drinks. Starbucks has nothing over this one! Some think it is too chocolatey. Chocolate is the most healthful ingredient in it, so I like the full amount. I wondered if it was too much spice, but I thought it was just right.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2013
I loved this! I used celery seed instead of salt as I had it on hand. My mayo is light. After reading other reviews, I added 1/2 c breadcrumbs to mixture. It stayed on nicely. The whole baking time was 6 min and was just perfect. I will be making this a lot. My husband really only tolerates fish if it is fried, but he liked this. Mikey liked it! His name really IS Mike!

Wings In Cola

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2013
This is yummy! I made exactly as is. In the last hour I increased heat to 375 to hurry it up as there was a lot of liquid left. After an hour they were very done so I reduced the liquid on the stove and poured it over. I used a foil lined pan as others suggested! Thank you!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2013
This recipe is wonderful! I am gluten-free, so I couldn't eat it, but my husband raved about it. I did sprinkle in a bit of Italian seasoning as I always do with pizza crust and I kneaded it for a couple minutes before rolling it out for the stone I placed it on. I let it rise for about 20 minutes. It turned out perfect. It was done in 15 minutes.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
I eat a lot of salmon and am always looking for a new recipe. This is a real winner! I made it only for myself, so adjusted the ingredients accordingly. I had wild sockeye salmon that I had bought and froze. I thawed it and put it in a ziplock bag, skin up with the marinade. After reading the reviews I decided to add some fresh ginger since I had it on hand. Gave it a nice zing. I used real maple syrup, not pancake syrup. I used my Le Creuset fish skillet (which I was able to find brand new at a garage sale this summer for $4 and is the BEST pan I own.) When I preheated the oven, I put the skillet in and when the oven was ready I sprayed the skillet with cooking spray. When I lay the fish skin down it made the most wonderful sizzling sound. It was ready in 15 min. In the meantime I reduced the marinade in a small pan on the stovetop and poured that over to serve it. Oh my, was that a treat! Thank you, Starflower!
