I am married with four children. I love my family and feeding them healthy "happy" food. I was never taught to cook growing up, so I have just learned by trial and error. I love getting creative with my food. I hope to take classes one day, but for know I just try to make sure I get the playdough off my hands before making dinner.
My favorite things to cook
Anything well seasoned. I like Italian food and make my own sauces with lots of great herbs and spices. I also like mexican food that is spicy. My husband loves asian food and I am trying my hand at that, sometimes with sucess.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Plastic knife cooking. I purchased some child safe plastic knives at a dollar store and my children took to the kitchen like a fish to water. Our fajita strips are slightly irregular in size but they taste great, and my kids love to get involved in cooking.
My cooking triumphs
Creating a great HEALTHY cheesecake.
Formulating a good Alfredo sauce.
Getting my children to eat green veggies, while smiling.
My cooking tragedies
I ruined this great mexican lasanga recipie I was given, uck, not even remotely edible, just was not meant to be.
