No need to look any further for a perfect apple pie recipe. This is IT! This was easier to make than I had expected. Wish I had known about this recipe several years ago. Definitely a keeper! Thanks for sharing your family treasure!

My whole family loved these. They were easy to make, and they freeze well if you happen to have leftovers.

Dump Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2014
Delicious as it is. I didn't change a thing except that I reduced the bake time because it appeared to be baking a bit too quickly when baked in a glass dish. I must admit that I was concerned about the amount of sugar, but when it was baked it didn't taste overly sweet. This is one of the best recipes in my collection now, and I've been baking for over 40 years. Oh, and one other thing---this cake tastes so good and was so well loved by my family that I had to give it another name. It's just too special to call a Dump Cake! :)

Chicken a la King I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2014
Absolutely loved it! My picky adult son devoured his and gave great compliments on it. Everyone thought it was very good. I substituted celery for the bell pepper, and we served this over puff pastry. Will definitely make again. Thanks for sharing a super recipe!

I never thought of an idea like this before, but it's truly good, and kids enjoy it. A very creative way to re-purpose that leftover pizza. Thanks for sharing!

Crab Rangoon

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2014
Loved this recipe as it is. Makes a bunch, and they cook quickly. My daughter has always loved crab rangoon from the local Chinese restaurant, and I made these as a surprise when she was coming home for a visit. They were a hit! Thanks for sharing.

Angela's Awesome Enchiladas

The name says it all: AWESOME! My husband hates homemade Mexican food, but he loved this recipe! I had a guest drop in at supper time, and she enjoyed this as well. Everyone had seconds, and it made wonderful leftovers, too. THANKS for sharing a real keeper!

Cranberry Orange Oatmeal Cookies

I made this recipe for the second time today. This recipe has all the great taste of a traditional oatmeal cookie with the surprise of orange and cranberry! I'm loving this as a treat I will be able to make for guests this fall. Thanks for sharing, Julie!

Banana Walnut Ice Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
My first attempt with this recipe, and it turned out wonderfully! Took it to a church picnic, and there were no left overs! Consistency was perfect, and the flavor was just right. I used three bananas, and didn't have any walnuts, so used pecans. Got several compliments. The process was time-consuming, but results were well worth the trouble. Thanks for sharing!

Peach Wrinkle

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2013
Like another review, the name of this recipe is what drew me to it. Just had to make it. I had just a small bowl full of diced peaches left after a day of canning, so I was looking for something to help me use those up. I halved this recipe, baked it in a pie plate for 25 minutes, and it is beautiful, and also very good! It's not really a cobbler, so there is not all the juice in the bottom of the pan. If you prefer something more like that, the ice cream idea mentioned by other reviewers sounds like a plan to me! This is not overly sweet, and there are no competing flavors. Just a simple, classic comfort food recipe. This one's a keeper! Thanks for sharing!

Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2013
I always love recipes that were "handed down by grandma!" This was a wonderful recipe for anyone like myself who loves oatmeal with apples. I do plan to make this again, but I will bake a little longer than the 45 minutes recommended. The sugar in the topping remained a bit grainy on my first attempt, and I think a longer baking time would remedy that. As some of the other reviewers stated, using a little less sugar is an option. Simply a matter of preference. Thanks, Dave, for sharing this keeper! Enjoyed it.

Flank Steak with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2013
This recipe was simple enough, and it was flavorful. I had no flank steak, so I used the chuck steak I had on hand. As another reviewer stated, I also sprinkled the steak with Paula Deen's house blend. Followed all the other directions to the letter, and it was delicious. DH and I had this for our Valentine's Day dinner, and it was as good as anything you could get at a restaurant. The meat was tender, and the mushrooms w/ the garlic and rosemary were wonderful. Smelled fantastic while it was cooking. I will definitely make this again. Something I would absolutely serve for company.

Peach Cobbler I

This recipe was WONDERFUL! I regularly make peach cobbler, but this was my first time using fresh peaches. The recipe was flawless and needed no tweaking at all. Cook time was right on target. My family devoured it after supper! No leftovers! Thanks for sharing.

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
Wish I had had this recipe years ago! A great meal for family, but one that would also be very well received by guests. I only had four chicken breasts to use, so I cut down the stuffing to one cup and the butter to 2 Tbsp. After melting the butter, I just stirred it into the stuffing for more thorough coverage before sprinkling over the chicken. This recipe was absolutely delicious served over rice. My husband of 27 years is slow to try new things, but he raved about this. Glad I found something new he really likes!

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
A wonderful, easy, classic recipe! There are a few variations. Try adding finely chopped onions and bell pepper if you want a bit of a change occasionally. I keep zip lock bags full of these, uncooked, in the freezer all the time. Great for unexpected company! Freeze balls (not touching each other) on cookie sheets, and then transfer to bags. I write the cook time and temp on the outside of the bag so I don't have to hunt down the recipe when I'm in a hurry.

Chocolate Bombs

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
I loved these because they were so good and a snap to make. I didn't really notice the coffee flavor in the finished cookie, so I may add some instant granules in addition to the 2 Tbsp of coffee listed in the ingredients next time around. Definitely will make again! THANKS for sharing a wonderful recipe. This is a keeper!

Parmesan Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
This chowder is thick, creamy, and---best of all--- easy to make, and delicous! A true comfort food. I garnished w/ crumbled bacon (some chopped green onion would look nice, too). Really, no changes are needed to the recipe itself. I was trying to copy a corn chowder from a local restaurant, and I actually think this recipe beat it, hands down.

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
Being very picky about my cookies, I am often hesitant to venture beyond my tried and true cookie recipes which I have collected over the past 30+ years. This recipe is hands down the best one I have tried. No frills, no spices, etc. to distract from the wonderful and simple oatmeal taste. This recipe has now replaced the one I have used for a good long time, and it needs no adjustments made to it. Perfect as it is. If you don't have chocolate chips when you make this recipe, don't let that deter you. I have made these a few times without them, and they are still just as delicious! Thanks for sharing a fabulous recipe that has become a favorite of all the cookie snobs at my house!

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
WOW! This was pretty easy to make, and it is just delicious! Very rich and dense, but chocolatey through and through. I did use a bag of semi-sweet Ghirardeli chocolate chips and 4 blocks of unsweetened chocolate. Worked very well. I did not think this cake was done at the end of the baking time, and if the directions had not specified that it would look wet after bake time was done, I would have thought there was some mistake, but I took it out of the oven, hoping for the best. After being refrigerated overnight, it is just perfect. I had a bit of trouble inverting it onto a serving dish. I think I waited too long after allowing the pan to rest in hot water for 10 seconds. Either way, a success! Looks and tastes great! And my husband says he hopes I don't get any marriage proposals after we serve this at a get-together tonight! Thanks for the recipe!
