Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2013
I tried a version of this recipe last night and it really was the juiciest turkey meatloaf I have ever eaten! I read every single review and took some notes, added 2 eggs, omitted the extra salt, cooked my quinoa in plain water& salt free Mrs.Dash, switched half of the Worcestershire sauce to ketchup, changed the glaze into tomato paste,BBQ sauce&a bottled sauce from Costco. Bottom line is, the proportions were right on target& anyone can make this their own!My boyfriend and I really enjoyed it,thanks!!!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
After reading all of the reviews for this recipe, I also decided to use a pork butt. IT WAS AWESOME!! I thought it was fantastic, and my boyfriend said he "was kind of in love with it". This was my first pulled pork recipe and also my first use of a slow cooker. I had a 4lb. butt, used Jones root beer, and put 1 onion on the bottom, set it to 8 hours& that was it!! When it was ready, I drained it skimmed the fat out, added some of the juice back in, and topped it with the "Absolutely Awesome BBQ Sauce" also from AR. Thank you for the great recipe!!

Absolutely Awesome BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2013
This is an excellent recipe! My only change(as per previous reviewers)was to halve the sugar& add a DASH of liquid smoke. I tripled the recipe and used it in conjunction with the "Slow Cooker Pulled Pork". So very glad I had some left over to use on turkey burgers and as a dipping sauce for grilled chicken! I am always looking for ways to avoid pre-made, bottled or boxed foods. Thank you, now I will never have to buy bottled BBQ sauce ever again!!

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
AWESOME!! I made a few changes based on the reviews. I used 2.5 cups of Swiss, added 1/2 lb. of cooked, chopped bacon and added an extra egg. This was so good, we ate half immediately! I will be making this often, thank you.

Corn and Black Bean Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
We didn't like this, even though we love balsamic and put only that on our salads...it just was too overpowering and didn't meld well with the cilantro. May try the lime version because the texture was great.

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2013
I made this last night, and it was very easy and delicious! The minor changes I made were suggestions from fellow reviewers: I sauteed my onion, added an egg to the stuffing mixture, used premade Italian breadcrumbs&chicken stock instead of beef.I served these chops with Bacon Cheddar Potatoes and Sauteed Kale.Thank you for a wonderful recipe!I will certainly be making this again!

Ray's Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2013
This was fantastic! Only minor changes I made were to use olive oil(that's all we use), and to halve to garlic. My boyfriend said it was the best chicken he has ever had!!I look forward to making this again. Thank you!

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
I was so excited to try this recipe, having had Kalua Pig in Hawaii. I followed everything perfectly, but it was too oily for my taste and could've used a bit more liquid smoke. (Both reasons, I do realize are my personal taste and have nothing to do with the recipe.) The reason for the 3 stars is because the pork can be transformed into bbq pork the next day and pork tacos the next. Thank you.

Pineapple Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
I tried this the other night, omitting the egg, ham and sugar. I also used brown rice, which I cooked in half water and half pineapple juice. It was ok, it needed something more. Egg, ham and sugar, perhaps? It is worth trying again, correctly.

Iced Tea II

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2013
This tasted like store bought! It was great. Only change was to use fresh lemon to taste, and steep 3bags for 45 minutes, mix and steep 1 new tea bag for an hour while chilling. Thank you!

Caramelized Onion and Horseradish Smashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2014
I loved this recipe! I made it for Easter dinner and it was a big hit! We do like things spicy, so tonight when I make them again I will probably double the horseradish and Dijon mustard. Thank you for making me look so good!
