Scandinavian Almond Bars

Wow! I can't believe how amazing these turned out! They are soft the first day, hard the next and oh so good. I doubled the almond extract and skipped the glazing and they were perfect- not too sweet. Thank you for this great recipe!

Chocolate Pecan Pie III

wow, amazing. Just had to add an extra tablespoon of cocoa (I like it rich) and 3/4 cup of sugar so it wouldn't be too sweet. This is one of the best desserts I have ever made and it was gone in 5 minutes. Great, solid recipe!

Turkey Burger Pie

I had given this recipe 3 stars, but then let it rest a day and it was much worse. The recipe as is is very, very, very bland. Could not believe how much spice I had to add in order to make this palatable. Ok as a base, feeds many, and certainly easy to make but can't imagine serving this as a crowd pleaser. Better to stick with hamburger helper. Sorry, it's just my opinion!

Pumpkin Pie Squares

Excellent! Used a 7x11.5 pan and it turned out perfectly. Baked the crust for 18 min, then added 10 min to the total bake time. 4 people have tried it so far and are in love!

Classic Spanish Sangria

Perfect the way it is! I am a lover of red wine and appreciate its strength and authenticity. I tried one batch with the blackberry wine and it tasted like cough syrup-- way too sweet- could have been any alcoholic punch recipe.

Easy Arroz con Gandules

As a Puerto Rican, I'm clearly impressed! The recipe turned out wonderful and I added a few more garlic cloves than the recipe calls for. As for the spanish seasoning package, I highly recommend using Sa-son's Culantro y Achiote seasoning packets (in english- coriander and annatto seasoning), it's authentic, tasty, and easy to find.
