Garlic Corn on the Cob

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
We just came into the heart of our corn season, so I thought i'd give this a try. After reading the (most helpful) part of the reviews, I decided to follow Jillians advice which produced the most delicious sweetcorn imaginable. Thank you Jillian. Nothing beats fresh picked sweet corn, properly soaked in water, and then roasted on the grill in it's own husk. If it's soaked long enough, the inside kernels of corn get steamed not burned. I also love the fact that you can use the (pulled back) husk as a handle, for eating.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2010
Was looking for a chicken soup recipe, and this was (to use a baseball phrase) a grand slam home run. I followed the recipe exactly and it was out of this world. As every cook does, I'm sure that in the future I might make changes, but as for now,I'll follow the recipe, and continue to take bows.

Insane Oven Beef Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2010
I enjoyed this recipe, very much. My wife is still laughing, over having earlier read a review, from someone who after changing this recipe by substituting short ribs to long, and the wine to beer, (90% of they recipe volume) said they were unhappy by this recipe.

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
I find that one can golden mushroom, and one can regular mushroom soup, mixed with two chopped cloves of garlic, is best. 15 minutes before I serve these, I remove the top and add frozen peas thawed, then replace the top and turn oven off. serve within ten to fifteen minutes. I like to serve this with garlicy mashed potatoes.

Add 2 bay leaves, One tablespoon worcestershire sauce, and a teaspoon of lawry's/or Old Bay seasoned salt and I think you will find that the flavor will be there at the end. Did I mention two or three cloves of garlic?

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
This is a wonderful recipe. I would suggestion would be to cook this recipe as written, for the first try. It's that good. One serving suggestion, I always add peas to my stew, by adding room temperature frozen peas just prior to serving. They keep that fresh color that way. If some people in your family don't like peas, just put them in the indvidual bowl and stir, before serving.

Amelia's Tuna Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
Wonderful. I left out the pickle relish, and doubled up on the tuna, and celery. I always use frozen peas, since since they are thawed by serving time. I also added sugar, and lawry's seasoning salt, to my liking. Served on a bed of lettuce and this can be served as a main entre.
