Slow Cooker Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2014
This was PERFECT for Thanksgiving. We make Green bean casserole for the holidays but we needed our stove space along with our oven space for the turkey and other sides so using the crock pot was the BEST idea ever. I did tweak it a bit. Instead of two bags of green beans, I used one 24 ounce bag of the frozen green beans, and I also used instead of the two cans of cream of chicken and milk I used the Progresso creamy mushroom soup and due to the soup being a creamier kind then the condensed I left out the milk. I kept the rest of the ingredients, and I also added onion powder and garlic powder. It was PERFECT, when it was ready to come out we had a little bit of it to tide us over until the turkey was done, and my mother and I decided while I have a green bean casserole recipe for the rest of the year, THIS one will be our permanent holiday casserole recipe.

Ghirardelli® Magic Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2014
I haven't tried this particular recipe myself, but my cousin makes these EVERY Christmas, they always disappear without fail, I had to fight her sister's fiance' just to get some for my mother they disappeared in less then five minutes after my cousin arrived at my aunt's house. They are SO good, I avoided them for years until recently because I hadn't been a big coconut fan... But with age comes wisdom. I have SEEN THE LIGHT! Long live coconut and long live "Magic Squares"!

Chocolate-Filled Crescents

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2014
I had no idea this was an official recipe, last winter this was my go to snack when I wanted something warm on a chilly day, we get the crescent rolls from Aldi's and for me it depended on the day. I filled some with chocolate chips if we had them and most with nutella spread on ALL of it so it layered when rolled. But still DELICIOUS make it! If you like chocolate and like pastries you CAN'T go wrong! Even my mother's friends liked it and when they come over for coffee I make this or cinnamon rolls.

Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2014
We made this tonight as a side dish rather then an appetizer, but we made some adjustments...And note changes for next time. We used one tub of sour cream and chive cream cheese with the green onions and garlic powder, we used roughly eight big crimini's and we used about half a pound of bacon as it was just me and my mother. The bacon we had trouble wrapping around and in some we just stuffed the bacon into the top. Next time we'll make sure when we clean the mushrooms to pat them dry and not wash them, they took on a LOT of moisture and released a lot of it, but it was delicious. We will make it again but make some adjustments, great starter recipe for a newbie to mushrooms

Taco Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2014
Absolutely DELICIOUS, I just had to adjust for the size of our casserole dish, and it was amazing. The only thing I changed was I didn't put the sour cream in the actual dish, because it just seemed like it would make it too sloppy so I saved the sour cream for a dollop on the top. It was absolutely perfect. My mother even says I have to make it again just like that from now on. Daughter tested, mother approved!

Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2014
I use the French's variation but this recipe is a good one, you can't go wrong with this dish. However I do have preferences and my own tips to it. I had it with the canned green beans last night and whilst it was good (there was none left) we agreed it was far better using fresh green beans. We had done this on Easter and it was far better with the fresh gently cooked green beans (cook your green beans in chicken broth it'll get better flavor) we used more onions then the recipe called for as we really love onion around here and we added a pinch of seasoned salt (Rosemary salt) it really just gave it that extra flavor it needed. It's a great dish and I love it.
