Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

I had never made jelly...yet I wanted a shelf stable item to give out during the holidays. Everyone who received one compliments me and asks for more. Even a year or more after I gave it to them.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

This is my go to recipe. I have it memorized, and make it at least twice a month. You can do all sorts of stuff to it as well, change it to whole wheat, press it out and let it rise again....then press it out again and you have a thin crust. I cook on a pan until 5 min are left, then I slide it directly onto the rack.

Beet Bundt Cake

I made these for my daughter to take to school for her birthday. Little did I know she had to bring store bought treats...THAT IS CRAZY WRONG. Anyway they taste great, the teachers ate them instead and wrote me a thank you note.

Whole Wheat Beer Bread

I used Harps Lager for this bread and everyone loved it. The bread has a nice crumb, and I swear that some people would never beleive it was not a yeast bread. I also tried it with Guiness, and it was not nearly as good.

Baker's Secret Pie Crust

Great pie crust. I freeze the butter than grate it on the bigger holes, then freeze again. This makes the adding of the moisture super quick and easy.

Marshmallow Fondant

I have come to the conclusion that Fondant does not taste really good like frosting...however it makes one heck of a cool looking cake. So make sure you use whatever frosting you really like underneath the fondant. I did the marshmallow fluff...and it worked like a dream. So much easier than "real" fondant, and just as pretty.

Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

YUM YUM YUM...this was so good right out of the oven. Creamy and delicious...I didn't mess around with anything and made it as is. It was for my 4 year old's birthday dinner. But for adults you could get wacky...add some ham, a variety of cheese etc.

Chicken Delicious

Great base...needed a little doctoring up. So a big pet peeve of mine is when someone totally changes the recipe and then gives it a bad review. I made the recipe as is, came home and tasted it and then made changes. Add apx 1 T of its better than boulion chicken base. It makes a huge difference. Then I shredded the chicken, and made a corn starch slurry using 2 T cream for the liquid. I then added 1/4 cup light sour cream. This now tastes awesome. So I am giving the base recipe 3 stars, but the doctored up one gets 5!

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

This has real authentic flavor. The secret is using really good chili powder! I have made this with chicken, beef, and vegetable enchiladas...if you like good real Mexican food...use this sauce. If your idea of good Mexican food is On the Border....skip it.
