Clam Chowder III
Very tasty! I did alter the method a little bit so I'm rating based on that. Instead of pureeing the vegetables, I finely chopped and sautéed them in the butter. Added the potatoes and clam juice and cooked as instructed. I set aside 1 c of half and half, added the rest to the pot, whisked the flour into the reserved 1 c, then added to the pot. I couldn't get 10oz cans of clams, so I used 2 6oz cans of minced and 2 6oz cans of chopped (I like the 2 different textures). I also added a little fresh dill - the best chowders I've ever eaten have had dill in them. It ended up being what a chowder should be, creamy, rich tasting, and thick.

Slow-Cooked White Chili
Generally I don't make a recipe if it has less that 100 reviews. But this one intrigued me, and rightly so. It was perfect! I didn't have everything on hand so I did make a couple of substitutions (I don't think this would have affected flavor much): Used chopped fresh onion instead of dried minced Used fire roasted chilies (it's what I had in the pantry) Used 2 cans Great Northern Beans (again, what I had, and 5 cans seemed like WAY too much) Used frozen corn. Hubby had 2 helpings then had it for lunch 2 days in a row. Thanks for the great recipe!

Bacon Chicken I
I made exactly as was written - it was edible, yes. This basically steamed the chicken. The "gravy" was very watered down. Bacon didn't crisp at all even after uncovering and turning the oven up. Not much flavor. Was so excited to try it, but didn't even eat 1/2.
