Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2004
This was absolutely delicious! One thing, when making the gravy using the juices of the turkey, BE SURE to skim off all the grease from the top. Delicious!

Awesome Sausage, Apple and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2004
This was delicious! Next time, I will put a little less cranberry only because my family is not too fond of sweet food, but other than that, it was great!!!!

Chicken Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2004
This was a very easy and delicious soup. I actually tweeked a little. I hate celery, so I left that out and added potatoes and peas. It was delicious. Will definitely make again.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2004
This a delicious meal! I changed the recipe a little. I skipped the entire breading and frying. I placed the pork chops right into a baking dish, added salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil, oregano, parsley and a cup of chicken broth. Baked for 1 hour (covered with foil), then poured double the mushroom soup, and double the milk. Baked for another hour. Delicious~! Seriously, you can cut the meat with a fork! Thank you for this recipe!

Artichoke Spread

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2004
This wasn't that great. I initally followed the recipe on the dot and ended up with mayo goo and all the artichoke disappeared. I ended up adding triple the artichoke (chopped, not processed) and it was still gooey. Won't make it again.

Chicken Savoy

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
This was delicious~! It came out great! Juicy meat, and crispy skin. Very easy to make. I doubled all the spices, and be sure to add the oil LAST because once the oil touches the meat, it creates a blocking lining around the meat and the seasoning cannot get to it. Also, I added the cheese last. Thank you for the recipe!

Steak Tips with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2004
Maybe I was expecting something else, but the end result was very unappealing. The whole thing was dark brown almost black, and the flavor was bland. Nothing special, and like another review said, too much work for the not-so-special dish. Won't make it again.

Cajun Seafood Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2004
This was delicious~! It ended up sooo spicy though that I added an extra cup of cream. Next time, I'll do a little less spices and maybe add either red bell pepper or bits of tomatoes for color.

Cream of Broccoli Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2004
This was delicious~! I love broccoli soup, and it came out wonderful. I added triple the broccoli, and I had cube biullon and used 2, it was soooo salty that I had to fix with more milk, hence the extra broccoli and cheese. Thanks William!

Pepper Steak and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2004
This came out delicious~! Next time I would use only 1 tbsp of corn starch. It came out way too thick for our taste and I fixed it by adding some beef broth.

Maybe I didn't know what I was expecting but it turned out sour. Not my cup of tea.

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
This was delicious~! I did use meat rub before the bbq sauce. Be sure to wrap tightly so that juices do not all drip out into the oven. I made that mistake and ended up with a smoking kitchen, but the taste was great! I also finished it off with more bbq sauce and broiling both sides to get the nice "crust".

Greek Style Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2004
This came out really badly. Instead of 2 hours, after 45 minutes the potatoes were all "disintegrated" in the sauce. Not what I was expecting at all.

Garlic Pita Bread Bites

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2004
Nothing out of the ordinary. It was just pita with cheese taste and they got very hard when cold. Fresh pita and butter might have done the same trick.

No Name Orange Roughy

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2004
I was under the impression that I would end up with some nice fillets with a nice sauce over it. I actually ended up with fish soup. Thank god I started dinner ahead of time, and had time to cook up some rice and throw into my "soup" and made a nice "gumbo" out of it. I also added red pepper flakes, and topped with some parmesan cheese at the end. It ended up delicious but only not what I was expecting. If you do end up with a "soup" cook some rice only half-way done and throw it in and simmer about 10 min. Definitely add LOTS of garlic salt. Wait a minute, I've just come up with my own recipe! Heheh... Delicious~! Will keep the recipe and throw it over some linguine next time.
